WAND: Blackthorn wood with vines of Spruce wood winding around the entirety of it, Dragon Heartstring, 12 inches, Springy
Ollivander on Blackthorn Wands: “Blackthorn, which is a very unusual wand wood, has the reputation, in my view well-merited, of being best suited to a warrior. This does not necessarily mean that its owner practises the Dark Arts (although it is undeniable that those who do so will enjoy the blackthorn wand’s prodigious power); one finds blackthorn wands among the Aurors as well as among the denizens of Azkaban. It is a curious feature of the blackthorn bush, which sports wicked thorns, that it produces its sweetest berries after the hardest frosts, and the wands made from this wood appear to need to pass through danger or hardship with their owners to become truly bonded. Given this condition, the blackthorn wand will become as loyal and faithful a servant as one could wish.”
Ollivander on Spruce Wands: “Unskilled wandmakers call spruce a difficult wood, but in doing so they reveal their own ineptitude. It is quite true that it requires particular deftness to work with spruce, which produces wands that are ill-matched with cautious or nervous natures, and become positively dangerous in fumbling fingers. The spruce wand requires a firm hand, because it often appears to have its own ideas about what magic it ought to be called upon to produce. However, when a spruce wand meets its match - which, in my experience, is a bold spell-caster with a good sense of humour - it becomes a superb helper, intensely loyal to their owners and capable of producing particularly flamboyant and dramatic effects.”
Dragon Heartstring Core: “As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.
"The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental.”

APPEARANCE
------------------------------------------------------------
HAIR COLOUR: Changes often. Usually will be red or brown.
EYE COLOUR: Green
COMPARATIVE HEIGHT: Average
BODY BUILD: Middling
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
Faye has a sort of obsession with how she looks. Frankly, she's got so much time on her hands she doesn't see why she shouldn't look lovely whenever she has the time. She has been told most of her life that she is beautiful, and has come to believe it. She figures that once someone hears it enough, it becomes true to them, even if it isn't entirely true in the minds of others. That said, she definitely would take offense to someone degrading her outfit or informing her that she looks a mess.
APPAREL: Usually, her summer outfit involves some sort of sheer fabric overtop a tank-top or tee-shirt of some kind. She hates button-up shirts because they make her feel very confined. Skirts are lovely, though shorts do just as well. If she's going to wear skirts, they won't be below her knees. Perhaps to her knees, yes, but lower makes her look and feel older. As for shorts, anything besides capris or khakis will do. If she has to wear jeans, they will not be wide-bottomed or loose.
Purses annoy her to some extent, but there's no avoiding them, it seems, as a woman with little to do besides go places. When it comes to shoes, she has a rather impressive collection, from boots to heels. Usually, she prefers flats to either of the aforementioned kinds, but doesn't mind wearing them when she dresses up
Jackets aren't her favorite things, but she of course wears them come winter. Faye doesn't really wear scarves because she feels like it makes her look like she has no neck at all. Her neck isn't as long as some people find attractive anyways. Jeans are nearly a must in the winter, but much like summer, she refuses to wear the light colored denim and only goes for the very dark colored jeans.
HAIR: Faye often changes the color of her hair, but it usually ends up staying brown or red. When she was at Hogwarts, it was blonde (her natural color), but she found that she didn't like how it made her complexion look. Her favorite is probably red.
Faye will never wear her hair the same way two days in a row. Whether that means going from straightened to curly, or braided to down. It has a natural wave to it, so she feels like she has to do something with it or it will turn into a bit of a bush.
FACE: Faye has a fairly average-sized forehead and a strong chin. When she smiles, the parenthesis around her mouth become more visible. Her smile is rather thin unless she laughs, at which time it's quite wide. Her regular smile tends to only show the top row of her teeth, which are straight after years of orthodontic work on her teeth. Her nose has a rounded tip, and her eyebrows are thin and brown. Her ears are a bit large to be proportional, so she tends to hide the tops under her hair.
EYES: Green eyes, in her opinion, tend to look like other colors. Depending on what she wears, her eyes look green or blue-grey. Some people say that her eyes have flecks of gold around the pupils, but she thinks they're making it up. (She's looked and didn't see any.) Faye tends to smile with her eyes more than her face, but when she fully smiles her eyes have small laugh lines at the corners.
BODY: She's sort of average height, and is of the fairly “curvy” variety. She has long legs compared to her torso, and her hair hangs down past her shoulder blades usually, unless she decides to cut it.

(Insert Paragraph 1 of General Appearance here, as well as wand information)
FEARS:
1. Being useless.
2. Mortality

THINGS FAYE BELIEVES:
1. She didn't earn the money or belongings that her parents gave her, so she doesn't deserve them.
2. Others deserve much more than she does, so she would rather invest in them. This keeps her own money around while being able to help others who need it more.
3. No one is better off without their parents.
4. Passions should overtake morals on a daily basis. It's called living life to the fullest.
5. When people see good, they expect good. (Faye's words: “I don't want to try to live up to expectations. I want to do good when I want to, rather than when I'm supposed to.”)
6. No one falls out of love.
7. You can never actually know anyone. No matter how long you are friends with them, no matter how long you're married or related to them, there is always something about them that you will never get to see or know or hear or learn.
8. The slower we move, the faster we die.
9. Loyalty isn't cheap.
Faye will do “good” provided she comes up with the idea, or is asked for help. If someone tells her outright that she must do something, she will avoid it like the plague. She firmly believes that if someone has to tell you to do “good”, then you're not actually doing it. You're just doing what you're told.
Even if Faye doesn't know someone, she will likely be at the very least friendly with them. She doesn't like the idea of someone being left out. Also, she's quite used to having people either find her interesting (especially when it comes to guys), or find her amusing because she's okay with being a right nutter.
When Miss Sumner finds herself interested in someone, she tends to be surprisingly straightforward with it. The same goes for if she doesn't like someone. She will be open with what she thinks of someone, because she doesn't want someone to pretend to like her, either.

CHARACTER HISTORY
------------------------------------------------------------
Early Years:
Faye grew up as the only child of a Muggle lawyer and a Ministry Employee. Even as a young girl, she was rather friendly and pretty. She grew up treated like a sort of Princess when it came to her father. He thought she couldn't do wrong. Even when she got into trouble through her adventures, he would say how glad he was that she was getting out there. She befriended many kids in the town they grew up in.
Things changed slightly when she had her first events regarding her magical ability. It happened at home, luckily, but during her birthday party. Her parents wrote it off as her dad being a magician, and explained it to her later. She took it surprisingly well, though she really just wanted to be able to part of both worlds.
Hogwarts Years:
Faye went into Hogwarts with high hopes for her education. As classes went on, she did enjoy them, but spent more time concerned with her friends and her relationships with others. Adventures were frequent, she never played Quidditch, and she kept up with her work. She wasn't about to be embarrassed by doing poorly in classes compared to her classmates.
As the years went on, she found herself befriending those younger than her more easily than those her own age or older. Her seventh year, she befriended Mira (a first year) and became a sort of mother figure. That's when Faye knew that she would want a family – preferably a large one. Never one to care about stereotypes, Faye couldn't have cared less what house Mira was in. They would remain friends even in adulthood.
In the end, she couldn't decide what she wanted to do with her life, so Faye decided to travel and try and find herself.
Adulthood:
After her schooling, Faye moved to America, where she toured around for about seven years. During that time, she learned anything she could about the Muggle world, other cultures, and other people. The only place she settled for more than a few months was in Austin, Texas, because she fell for a graduate student at the local university. Other places included California, New York (Where she befriended Clarissa Bishop), Florida, Michigan, and Arizona. Faye found that she actually rather loved hot weather, and having weeks without rain. She missed home, of course, but ever since she had been put into the Gryffindor House in school, she knew that she wanted to travel and learn things about the real world rather than just reading about things.
Throughout this time, she would send letters to people like Mira and Clarissa, because she wanted very badly to keep in touch in case she came back.
After six years of moving, she settled in Austin to experience the live music, the American Football, and the theatre. During one such football game, she was sitting next to her friend Rachel (who was a grad student at UT at the time. They had met at a waltz event on campus), and on her other side sat a guy named Jon (playby: Sterling Knight). They immediately hit it off and when she stuck around, they dated for about a year.
When her parents died, though, she returned to England to settle affairs. The man she had cared so much for back in Texas didn't get in touch with her even when she attempted to contact him, so she decided she wouldn't return to America. Rachel moved to live with Faye in her flat and explore a career in theatre with the English Shakespeare companies and with Broadway musicals settled in London.
Since then, she has taken pride in helping businesses through the money her parents left her and the money she earned from selling the house and valuables. She, of course, kept enough to buy and take care of a flat in London, as well as having enough for her own personal needs.
When she saved her first small business through investment and assistance with monetary budget planning, Faye knew that she would be alright with playing the part of a benefactor for the rest of her life. While, yes, it could be tiring, it was fulfilling and she didn't want that feeling of uselessness Faye realized she had before she started investing with others.
