Though Ana had not had any experience with either of the people in the next group, she would simply hope that it couldn't go farther downhill than the previous meetings. Perhaps both members of this group would be sensible, rather than one flying off the handle and panicking.
Ana was aware of how awkward the situation would be, but there were many reasons for the Marriage Law, some which weren't listed in the article in The Daily Prophet. As someone who understood the full implications of the law, and the reasoning behind it, she was highly unlikely to let the law fall to the wayside or go unenforced.
Reaching over to take Eli's drink, Ana drank part of it before returning it to him. It was practically lunch time, and she was starting to feel a headache coming on. If this meeting didn't go well, she would be feeling the need to come up with some new way to run the meetings.
A knock at the door announced the arrival of the first half of the match. It had become some kind of tradition for Ana to get the door, so she stood and opened it to find the woman, Serena, standing before her with a young girl in her arms.
"Good morning, Serena," Ana greeted. "Who might this be?" She asked, looking to the child. After waiting for a reply, she moved out of the way to allow Serena to sit. "Go ahead and sit down. Your match should be here soon." Ana assured her.
