Amelia let out a grin. It was the proud mama bear feeling inside of her to see Maura's talents for charms in person. The two spells that Maura had suggested were indeed correct and were more of the subtle answers, in fact Amelia was expecting her to say a protective spell such as protego horribilus or salvia hexia.
'Excellent Maura. You could use both of the spells.' Amelia replied. 'Five points to Hufflepuff.' She added as the book came to a hault before Amelia.
'The disillusionment charm, quiet obviously would make the book invisible meaning it would be a hard job for people to find it.' Amelia announced as she tapped the book and said the word: 'Praestigium' With that the book slowly, from the center became invisible.
'I could now hide the book and nobody would know where it is but me.' Moving her wand the book came to rest, hidden, on the table in front of Erika Dixon. With a wave of her wand the spell was removed, revealing the book.
Amelia walked to stand in front of Erika's table, pointing her wand at the book. 'Geminio.' The book soon split off into two, then four, then six. With a wave of her wand the books began to soar around the room before landing neatly in a line on Amelia's desk, which she had now returned to.
'As Maura stated, nobody can tell which book is the real one.' With a wave of her wand Amelia cast evanesco to vanish the fakes. 'Of course, there are more enchantments we coudl use.
Waving her wand once more the book rested on a stand by the window. 'I could surround the book with protective enchantments like those of Hogwarts. I could stop people apparating beside it, prevent people of a certain age from reaching it by the means of an age line. I could cast an anti-summoning charm upon the book or if I wanted I could place a caterwauling charm over the books surroundings to set off an alarm when anyone was nearby then, I would know someone was trying to rob it.' Amelia announced her eyes alive with passion for her love of advanced charms.
'Or.' Amelia summoned the book and let it land in front of Maura. 'I could pretend it was another book.' With a wave of her wand the book's title changed to Standard Book Of Spells Grade 1. 'The book was never special after all.' She smiled.
'Now. Seeing as Maura so cleverly informed us of the disillusionment charm I think we should make a start there!' Amelia announced, waving two more books from the bookshelf to land in front of Erika and her fellow Ravenclaw.
'We will start on small inanimate objects before progressing onto larger objects then even onto ourselves.' Amelia smiled, hoping to excite the students at the prospect of making themselves temporarily invisible.
'Now. The incantation. Praestigium!' Amelia told the class very clearly. 'Praestigium, now you try - without wands.' Amelia said. It was important they mastered the incantation before using wands otherwise something else could happen...
