Jack had read the paper and never had she so immediately decided there needed to be a meeting of the Order of the Phoenix. She quickly sent out the message, asking them all to meet her at eight o'clock that night at the usual place. After an hour of deep thought, Jack sent out a message to Potter's Army as well. This law would deeply affect them as well, and she did not care what the others thought of them. She had led Potter's Army and she very well knew the frustration of waiting around to know how she could be of help. There were numbers of Potter's Army, and they had nothing to do specifically. They wanted to help, and with this new law in place, they would be itching to be of assistance. She would not ask the group. She was leader because someone had to call the tough shots.
She was going to call the tough shots.
She looked at the group before her, as they all settled. "There are young faces here, because they want to be here. They are my guests and will henceforth be apart of our organization. I will not be swayed on this matter. If Potter's Army is to support us, we will let them support us. They are now apart of our numbers. Welcome, Potter's Army. I'm very glad to have you. You are welcome here."
She cast a sharp eye around all, for she would not have the youngsters undermined. And she hoped they made her proud.
She held up a newspaper. "Within the next month, almost anyone in this room who is at least seventeen will need to find a spouse. The Ministry has now decided that to control the population, they will be deciding how we live our lives, how we decide to personally conduct ourselves. If this is not the signal that the Ministry has overstepped their bounds, I think we must agree that we will never draw a line. No, it is time to argue the authority they have cast over us. I think it is time to remind the Ministry where the power lies."
She stared around, waiting around for a response, for there was sure to be one.
