COMPARATIVE HEIGHT: She's rather short
BODY BUILD: Quite thin and without much muscle definition
GENERAL APPEARANCE: To put it rather bluntly, Brina is small by most definitions of the word and she always has been. Unfortunately for her, it's likely she always will be too (Though she's likely to argue that's she'll hit a growth spurt any day now, it's just a "few" years late). About the only thing large about her are her feet and her arms, which are the only things that seem to be willing to grow. Hopefully she's right about the growth spurt, because her long arms make her look quite awkward.
Her face is pretty enough, if not for the deep frown usually accompanied by an eyebrow raised in mock curiousity or a simple passive, "I Really Don't Care About Any Of You", expression. If one does earn a smile, it's small... and likely more of a smirk than a real, happy smile. Her skin is naturally quite pale and freckles quite easily in the sun, causing her habit of avoiding lengthy exposure to said cause of accursed dots.
Her clothing tends to vary with her mood... Basically, if she's too tired to care she'll probably attempt to get away with wearing her pajamas/nightgown out. Otherwise, she'll put actual effort into looking decent. Simple enough, right?

PERSONALITY:
Brina isn't one for pleasantries or wasting times, usually approaching someone only when there is a specific reason for doing so and one that is useful to her at the very least. If it helps others, that's nice.. but not particularly required. Really, she's just not the best at dealing with people and will usually manage to insult them (Rather it's purposeful or not can be quite hard to determine at times).
Unless she needs something, she will avoid dealing with people for more than she really needs to. What's the point of talking about something as silly as what a moron that one kid was the other day or why should she help you on your school work? First of all, she KNOWS that boy is a total idiot and has likely already told him so. Secondly, you wouldn't need her help if you paid more attention in your classes. It really isn't that hard, try to keep up.
Sure, sometimes she gets bored or lonely, but if she was so desperate that she'd be willing to deal with certain people "Her head would have exploded from boredom a month ago" (Paraphrased quote from the loner herself).

CHARACTER HISTORY
------------------------------------------------------------
Early Years: Most of Brina's childhood was spent without much contact with parents, not that she minded though. She preferred that old woman, Rosetta, she was left in the company of to her mother and father any day. From what she had been able to gather from her short time spent with them, they weren't the most fun people.
They seemed to enjoy working more than spending time with their child which suited Brina just fine. She preferred them being at work too, Rosetta may smell like she wore far too much perfume, but she had far more books than her family and so Brina spent a lot of her time there. That is, she did until Rosetta passed away a little after Brina had turned 9 at which point her family had no where to ship her off to during the day. Instead of giving in and spending more time at home, they bought a few gaming systems and kind of had her play those in between school and her bedtime. Rosetta had given her a few books, but Brina mainly focused on the games she had been introduced to at this point. Perhaps her parents weren't so bad if she were allowed two have these things now.
Her reaction to getting her letter was quite simple, pure joy. Not at the fact she was going to the school, really, but mainly because it was sure to be less lonesome than her house. Even if she
was lonely there, she wouldn't be too upset or shocked. She'd just bury herself in reading the way she had always done at school before.
Hogwarts Years: While Brina had hoped to begin socializing and making many friends, a slight problem arouse and that was, very simply, the fact she had grown accoustemed to only really talking to people when she needed something or needed help with what she was doing. Not entirely knowing how to talk to people for prolonged periods of time, she decided to just.. not do so. Instead she focused on reading and doing simple things she could find slight fun in,

RP SAMPLE: - Spoiler:
Brina yawned, more out of boredom than actual sleep deprivation, and continued to stare out of the window. Most would probably presume she was still reading, there was an open book laid on the table in front of her. She leaned over the book, her head even ducked down as if she was actually taking in a single word laid out before her. One would only tell where she were really looking if they got close enough to see her looking out of the corner of her eyes. She had probably finished reading half an hour ago and just didn't care enough to go get another book or actually go talk to someone else willingly.
After a few more minutes of her sitting there by herself, someone actually sat next to her and spoke her name. She, of course, ignored him initially. At this point, Brina was tired of this boy talking to her every day without any real reasoning. It was as if he was sent by the heavens simply to aggravate her.
"Interested in another game of chess?" He spoke up again after a moment, hoping maybe she'd put the book down soon enough. She glanced up momentarily, shaking her head and brushing her hair out of her face
"Not in the least. I'm too busy to beat you again.' She looked back to the book she wasn't even reading
"Too busy with what? Staring out the window?" He shook his head, earning a glare from Brina "Anyways, I've gotten a lot better. How about you give it a try?"
"I'm thinking." She closed the book as she said this and started to stand up. Brina had been about to claim to be reading, but had decided there wasn't any point and admitted she had been thinking about other things "Exactly how much do you think you can improve within five days time? I'd rather not waste my time pretending it's any challenge playing you." With that she headed off to the library, actually getting a new book was better than dealing with Mr. Chess back there. She walked through the halls quietly, not stopping even though she figured she'd run into the boy again once she had reached the library.
