Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"An Animagus is a witch or wizard who can turn into a particular animal at will. This ability is not innate: it must be acquired by magical means. All Animagi must register at a central authority; it is illegal to obtain this ability without registering," Andrian said quickly out of breath and opened his mouth again and said " Each Animagus has a specific animal form, and cannot transform into any other animal. The animal cannot be chosen: it is uniquely suited to that individual's personality. Similarly, when an Animagus transforms it is always into the exact same animal (i.e. same markings, same colours, etc.). When an Animagus registers, they must record all the defining physical traits of their animal form so that the Ministry can identify them." and stop talking for awhile cause he knew he gave out too much information

Very good both of you 10 points to gryffindor" kitiara said nodding "So were not all going too try to become animagus' in here, thats illagal however we will be trying to turn ourselves into something. Self transfiuration can go terribly wrong, so i hope you dont mess in my class. Now try to concentrate, think of the animal you want to be and say 'fero verto' it is not easy and dont be surprised if u only turn into half the animal you will try to be. THis is really advanced magic

Smiling to herself, Thereza just got it clear once again exactly how much she loved this class! Transfiguration wasn't her favourite class for nothing. Biting her bottom lip she listened to the professor, but as the professor finished, Thereza had to interrupt. Raising her hand, she spoke. "Professor. Isn't it pronounced Fera Verto? And does it really transform you, as a person into an animal of your choice? I think otherwise, that the spell transforms an animal into a cup or goble, that is your choice." she said in her matter-of-fact kind of voice as she waited for the professors approval.

As she didn't have her pet with her, she thought of something different. Pointing the wand just above the table, she said the spell for conjured items. A second later was a big, black crow standing infront of her at the table. Looking at it with half a smile, she said "Fera Verto!" The crow soon dissapeared and got changed into a golden cup.

Looking over at Adrenn, Thereza rolled her eyes then pointed her thin wand at him and said the spell, "Fera Verto!" And infront of her now, the change between the cup and Adrenn started. Looking over at the professor, Thereza wondered whether this was really what the professor had in mind. One can only change yourself into an animal by Animagus form, or if you are born a methamorphmagus. It is impossible otherwerwise, right?

Kitiara frowned at Carrie. She was bieng quite annoying. "You can transfigure yourself with the spell fera verto. (Krum did it in 2nd task?) I explained the diference between an animagus and transifuring yourself at the begginning of class. Please do not think you know more than the teacher." She moved away to Adrenn who had just turned into a goblet and back to his normal self. "I was thinking something more like a lion or a bird... who would want to be a goblet?" she said confused.

Darren sniggered at both Adrenn and Thereza. He doubled over laughing when Adrenn turned himself into a goblet. He quickly got ready as the professor made her way near him. He though of himself transforming into a.... snake! WHich was his favirote animal. He concetrated hard and said "Fera verto!"
Nothing happened. A bit dissapointed he was about to try again when he realized something. He had fangs!

[[Actually it only says this [I looked it up]: Krum uses a partial Transfiguration spell to give himself a shark head and also from the book: 'an incomplete transfiguration that was nevertheless effective'. And I also looked up at the spell Fera Verto and it tells me that one can change an animal into a cup or a goblet. Check HP Lexicon, that's where I found out about it.]]

`Well I do atleast know how to talk more properly than you do, professor!´ Thereza thought angrily at the professor and scowled. Thinking that if the professor wanted to see an animal in the classroom then that is exactly what the professor should get.

As she didn't want people to know about her gift as being a methamorphusmagus, she pointed the wand carefully at herself and said the spell without really meaning the words. She still thought the professor was quite wrong about what she was teaching them, but she was the professor and Thereza the student.

Looking down at her body that started to shrink, she could see a long, white spotted tale soon followed by four paws and a body that was slim, white, spotted and, though she could not see it, she knew there was a beautiful head, also white and spotted, with the darkest eyes ever. The white snowleopard roared once before she changed back into her human form and wrote down a few lines at a parchment. Remember: Look up Fera Verto.
