What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Death Eaters are a group of Dark wizards and witches that followed Lord Voldemort. They often wear black hoods with snake-like eye slits to cover their faces. Only the inner circle of the Death Eaters has a Dark Mark burned into his or her left forearm. When Voldemort touches one of them, each of those Death Eaters felt it, allowing them to Apparate to their leader's side.

Ideally, the Death Eaters seek to destroy Muggles and wizards and witches of Muggle lineage, and to take over the wizarding world, as well as restore it to pure-bloods. The Death Eaters idealized pure-blood wizards, which is ironic considering that their leader, Lord Voldemort, is a half-blood with a Muggle father.

Not all of them could claim to be pure-bloods, and in fact true pure-bloods probably do not exist, as the claim is based on selective genealogy; possibly many of them were half-bloods clinging to their pure-blood ancestors. One such as Severus Snape, the son of a Muggle man and a pure-blood witch. Judging by Bellatrix Lestrange's reaction to being told that Voldemort was a half-blood by Harry Potter, the Dark Lord most likely lied to his followers about being pure-blood.


    What we need less of:+ The character was completely normal until a loved one died by accident (usually at the hands of Aurors), and then they became obsessed with becoming a Death Eater.+ The character is a skilled assassin in an unquantifiable way (ie, in another country, before they joined the Death Eaters, before they joined the site, they kill masses of NPCs)+ The character is skilled in knife fighting.+ The character is the perfect spy, and would like to spy on the Order a la Professor Snape (for reference, the Dark Lord has no interest in what the Order does).+ The character has their own ideas, hates being told what to do, thinks they would make a better leader than the current leader, and wants the kill the Dark Lord. What we need more of:+ Characters who backstab, instead of being upfront about their resentment.+ Characters who were raised to be pureblood extremists.+ Characters who aren't perfect at all forms of magic; specialists in different areas.+ Characters who are afraid of other Death Eaters.+ Small minded characters. Bullies and vagrants who became Death Eaters just to grab what power they could.

Why does the character want to be a Death Eater? Alexander's family have been death eaters since they first formed. He has been raised to think like death eater and as a result shares their views. Unlike his Grandparents he doesn't intend to be caught.
What can the character do for us? Alexander is smart and works within the ministry meaning he can spy if necessary. Furthermore due to his role in the being Division he may be able to negotiate with werewolves or provide information on them that the ministry doesn't wish to release.

Why does the character want to be a Death Eater? She always had an interest in the Dark Arts since she was a student at Hogwarts, but kept the want repressed. However, due to countless unfortunate events throughout her adulthood, she decided to finally enlist and receive the power she craved
What can the character do for us? She is very backstabbing, she does not easily trust others, making her a near perfect candidate to "get close" to others, without actually getting close.

(ooc: this is my old Julia account, which is why I have a Death Eaters emblem on my profile. Since that was for Julia and not for Alana, I figured I would enlist again)
