Summer breeze and lovers at Hogsmeade!

It was Hogsmeade weekend at last, and Maura was excited about this coming visit with Ryo. She honestly didn't know why, she guessed she missed him over the last couple of weeks. They been so busy lately that they really haven't had that much time with each other. Not to mention he was about to graduate which made Maura sad, but she was happy that Ryo was finally going to become what he always wanted to be. Alot of people told her that her and Ryo wouldn't be together after he left, but Maura didn't believe them, her and Ryo loved each other they'll make it work.

Walking down the sloping lawn of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardly she headed towards the carriages to take her to Hogsmeade. Getting into the carriage her chocolate brown eyes looked around for Ryo but frowned when she didn't see him. Just going to meet him at the three broomsticks like they were suppose to Maura settled back into the seat as the carriage took off.

Maura was snapped back into reality as the carriage came to a stop and her fellow classmates started getting out. Walking out, Maura straighten her dress out before she headed towards the three broomsticks. As she walked in, she seen that Ryo wasn't there yet which made her sigh, he was the one that always early. Thinking maybe he got held up at the castle due to making sure no students older then third year went due to being a prefect. Taking a seat in a booth by the window she ordered a butterbeer and waited for Ryo to show up .

As minutes passed by, Maura looked at her watch and looked back at the guy at the bar counter as he shook his head no. As her eyes turned gold with worry, she begin to where where Ryo was, he never been this late before. "He'll be here Mars, he promised that he'll be here he's just running late that's all."Maura thought to herself. Taking a sip of her butterbeer she looked out the window watching people walk by with sweets or butterbeer that gotten from the three broomsticks. O

Mars's look

"Is that everyone?"

"Yeah, we're pretty sure all the students that are supposed to go this weekend are going. No one under third years is out as far as we know."

"Alright. Well, we need to keep an eye on everyone, so three of us will go to Hogsmeade to keep an eye on things. The rest stay here."

The other prefects nodded and two other volunteered to go with Ryo to check things out at Hogsmeade. The rest of them were to make sure no one tried to sneak out. Most of the prefects this year were prankster and rule breakers themselves, so they'd know where to catch anyone who tried to sneak out.

Ryo sighed. How did they all end up being prefects? Trouble makers weren't usually the perfect fit for being prefects, although something changed if they were all basically troublemakers. Ryo laughed a little at the thought. Most of them certainly weren't moody vampires who already attacked someone. His smile faded quickly at that thought and he shivered. He hated that night... But he also loved it. It was how he met Maura.

Suddenly his head shot upwards and his eyes widened. "Damn it." He hissed. The two others who were with him looked up startled at him and one asked, "What's wrong Ryo?" He hesitated and sighed. "I'm supposed to meet Maura in Hogsmeade today. I forgot about it with the prefect duties..." His bangs created a shadow over his eyes and he ran a hand through his hair.

The other two nodded at each other and they smiled at him. "Go. We can handle everyone, go be with Maura." Ryo looked at them with gratitude. "Thanks guys." He smiled at them and took off with his Vampire speed toward the village. He'd agreed to meet Maura in the Three Broomsticks if he remembered correctly and he sighed, hoping she wouldn't be mad that he was late. He was really late... He pushed the door open and looked around for Maura.

When he saw her a guilty expression crossed his face as he walked toward her. "Hey Mars. Sorry I'm late... You know how much work being a prefect is..." He tried to justify himself.

Maura smiled when she saw Ryo walking into the door and towards her. "Hey you, thought you wouldn't make it!"said Maura softly. Maura shook her head at his reply. "It's ok, I sort of figured that was what was keeping you."said Maura brushing her hair out of her eyes. "I know you been busy the last couple of weeks with graduating and stuff."said Maura softly. "But I have missed you the last couple of weeks."said Maura softly but honestly giving him a soft warm smile.

Maura was glad to be spending some time with Ryo, it felt like ages since they been together but it was only a couple of weeks. Maura been trying to keep herself busy by studying and hanging with her friends, but her mind often thought about Ryo. Her friends told her she needed to think about other things, but she couldn't her and Ryo were connected not only by there bond but by there love for one another. Since the last time she saw Ryo, not alot had happened to her but she was sure alot happier then she was now that she was with Ryo.

"I'm glad you were able to make it, I thought you wouldn't make it."said Maura softly but honestly. "But I'm glad your here."said Maura as she kissed him softly on the lips before smiling at him. Maura knew it sounded lame, but she missed Ryo more then anything over these last couple of weeks, crazy what love did to you. Now that he was in her present she didn't want to let him go.

Ryo felt a wave of guilt wash over him as he listened to Maura. He knew that graduation was important and he was a Prefect and all but he didn't want to be away from Maura that often. The past couple of weeks had been so busy though, he just hadn't been able to find the time to be with her. It saddened him but at least he was able to make it today. Other times he wouldn't have been able to.

He felt bad for leaving Maura alone though. It really wasn't fair to her. Sure she had friends to hang out with and she could do things on her own, but that didn't mean he had to just leave her alone for two weeks. He felt he had to make it up to her, and he was going to.

The other Prefects would cover for him if someone asked where he was and they knew how to get a hold of him if it was urgent he be there. "I'm sorry I haven't been able to spend that much time with you Mars." he apologized. "Things would be a lot easier if I wasn't a Prefect, I'd have more time to spare. With just graduation to think about." he added before sighing.

"Before I go off on a depressing rant," he started, chuckling slightly. "And since I haven't spent that much time with you. For the rest of the day today, I'm all yours." he grinned. "We're going to do whatever you want the whole day." he added with a small nod.

" Ryo look at me, As much as I love you Ryo, I understand that you have a life and it's not always centered around me."said Maura. "It's ok Ryo really, life gets in the way of things, it happens."said Maura softly. "The good thing is, is that your here and the only thing that matters to me is here and now."said Maura giving him a soft warm smile.

Chuckling at his comment she smiled happily at him. "Wow... all mine? how did I manage that?"Maura asked him chuckling. "Well... I would like to go walking down that path that you showed me when you asked me to be your girlfriend."said Maura. "Maybe we can get some butterbeers from here and some stuff from Honeydukes and just have a picnic and catch up on some stuff?" Maura asked him softly.

"I honestly don't care what we do, all I want to do is be with you!"said Maura honestly but softly. As she gotten up she walked over towards where he was sitting and laid her head on his shoulder. It was a small gesture compared to what she usually did, but it was comforting. She missed having Ryo around, everything about him made her glow with happiness his laugh, his smile, the way he held her when she was upset everything. Ok.. maybe her friends were right, she was addicted to Ryo but she couldn't help it, he was made her feel alive and he was the other half of her.

Ryo smiled weakly at Maura. He knew that even though she said it was fine and life got in the way of things, she didn't like it just as much as he didn't. Graduation was one thing he couldn't escape from but it would be over in a few hours. Being a Prefect was different, sure it was the same as graduation that once the year was done it would all be over, but he had to keep everyone in place, even during his graduation. If something went wrong during the graduation, he had to step in even though he was one of the graduating students. He was one the oldest Prefects and was more experienced so he had to do something.

He sighed softly and tried to give Maura a stronger smile. His smile got stronger as she told him what she wanted to do. "Sounds good to me Mars." He chuckled. It was a really good idea on how to spend the rest of the day. He got an idea as he thought about their picnic and a playful glint flashed in his eyes for a few moments. "I'll go get the butterbeers from the bartender and then we'll go to Honeydukes to get some sweets for the picnic." he smiled at her and placed a kiss on her forehead quickly before going over to the bar for the butterbeers.

A few moments later he came back with the butterbeers and extended his hand toward Maura. "Shall we head to Honeydukes now, Ms. Goldstein?" he raised an eyebrow and grinned playfully at her. He was going to make this a great day for Maura, since it might be one of the last days they spend together the next year. He wasn't sure if he would be able to see her that often during the summer, with his internship and all. Of course, he might be promoted to a Spirit Specialist during the summer too, that would make things even harder for him. That'd make even less time to spend with Maura.

He planned to take at least a week off from work though. He was sure Rivah would allow it, since he did everything he was told and never asked questions as to why he was being told to do them. He was a very efficient worker according to her so it would be easy to get her permission.

Maura giggled at Ryo. "Why yes shall Mr. Hiroku."said Maura playfully as she took his head leading them out of the three broomsticks. Locking hands with him, they walked through the crowded street of Hogsmeade towards Honeydukes. It was going to be a day with Ryo, it was already starting to become on and they just started with it! Maura knew she needed to spend as much time with him as possible, for it may be while before she sees him again. It made Maura sad at the thought of it, she was going to miss him more then anything but she was happy for him though at the same time.

As they finally reached Honeydukes Maura pushed opened the door as the air conditioned place greeted them. Walking around the place Maura looked at various candies wondering what they should have for their picnic. As she seen some blood pops she gotten two of them just to be funny. "What do you think Mr. Hiroku, shall we?"Maura asked him chuckling. Maura never tried them, but she just thought it'll be funny to get them for the heck of it.


It was good to know that Maura could joke to Ryo about something like this, if she did it to anyone else they would just freak out. But then again they both knew they were just joking with one another. It was weird, her and Ryo had this playful relationship that never got boring cause they were always joking and playing around with each other. It was even like that before they started dating though, it just grew stronger since they started dating. Maura guessed it was because one they had some much in common and two they were vampires so it was quite hard to hurt a vampires feelings.

"I was thinking of getting some chocolate frogs for sure and maybe some licorice wands, what do you think love?"Maura asked him softly. She wanted to get some stuff he liked as well, after all it was their picnic. "To bad we didn't get some food from the kitchen, but then again who said that we couldn't?"Maura asked him smiling.

Ryo wished he didn't have to graduate yet. He'd be completely okay with staying back a year so he could graduate with Maura. That way he didn't have to leave her alone for a year until she graduated as well. Different thoughts, both good and bad, floated around in his mind as they looked for sweets to get for their picnic.

He was brought out of his mind for a few moments when Maura asked if they should get the blood pops. He chuckled softly since he knew it was just a joke. If it had been anyone else, he might've gone off on them badly. But he couldn't with Mars, she was in the same boat as him so it wasn't as bad. "Maybe we should, just in case. You know." he grinned. Better safe than sorry.

The Vampire was sure Maura had never tasted blood pops, but in case something happened that one of them lost control, those would be enough to keep them from attacking anyone. It had happened to him before and the blood pop had been enough to calm his hunger long enough for him to get blood from the kitchen.

"Sure Mars, anything you want." Ryo smiled at her. He thought about her comment for a moment and shrugged. "Instead of food from the kitchen, why don't we get some from the Three Broomsticks? We just came from there but I can get us from food from them." he suggested.

Maura chuckled before she grabbed a couple of them and put them into the basket. "In case we need for them for later, you know how the kitchen is at times."said Maura softly. Ryo knew better then she did, sometimes the kitchen didn't have any blood so they had to haunt in the forest for animals which didn't last long. 

"Yeah your probably right love, and that would would great if you can!"said Maura.  Grabbing some chocolate frogs and licorice wands she put it into the basket before looking around some more.  "I think that's it for us, we'll get pumpkin pasties and all that good stuff at the three broomsticks."said Maura softly. 

"Ready to go love?"Maura asked him softly her eyes sparkling happily at him. Locking hands with him Maura lead them through the packed store towards the check-out line which was packed with students.  Groaning at how it was, it was clear it wasn't just Maura but ti was the vampire.  The vampire wanted to almost as much time with Ryo as she did.  Chuckling at the thought of it the vampire literally rolled her eyes at Maura and told her to simply shut up.
