Molly stared at Mavis, not knowing what to think. This girl was absolutely insane, she thought. Part of her just wanted to let Mavis go to the common room and leave her in peace. It didn't seem right though, Molly sort of felt sorry for her. Mavis just seemed to want to be liked, but went about it in completely the wrong way.
It was then Mavis sat on Tarla. Well, only her tail, but it was enough to anger Molly. She loved her cat as much as she did her family and she couldn't bare to see it in pain like that.
"MAVIS! You're sitting on Tarla! Get off of her! Look how upset you're making her!" Molly's voiced was raised as she stared at Mavis.
The decorating ideas had completely vanished from her mind, Tarla being the only thing on her mind. Poor Tarla, Molly thought, vowing to get her some treat for having to put up with Mavis sitting on her. Then she thought she also deserved a treat, for having to put up with Mavis. The girl could be a bit of a pain sometimes.
Molly tried to push Mavis off of Tarla's tail, and ease it out. Pulling the tail could only lead to broken bones, which wouldn't be good. They could be fixed, but Molly didn't want to have to take Tarla to the Nurse, in case it was discovered she was half kneazle, since students were only really supposed to have cats at school.
