The Muggle Film Club

Hey guys!

So after a thread I had, I got this idea for Padril to start a Muggle Film Club. He's gotten an old Muggle film projector working (no sound, of course), and after having a great conversation about film, finding there was some interest, and building up his own confidence, Padril's decided to go ahead and try and start a club that would meet once every few weeks to watch old Muggle movies. It would basically be a chance for the Muggle-raised to hang out and chat about Muggle things.

You see the controversy?

I was rather hoping the Dark Followers would be offended by the Club, and then work to destroy it. Maybe after the first meeting they either dissuade people from attending through bullying and threats or break the film projector and destroy his film or intimidate Padril to disbanding the Club.

I think it would be a good chance for the Dark Followers to wreck some havoc, have some Muggleborns socialise/bond, and highlight the tensions at the school. Plus it's always fun when the good guys lose.

Looking for people who would join the Club, and the Followers who would be keen to break it all up.

Let me know what you think. I've never done a plot thing like this before on the site, so I'm very much open to suggestions.

I think Brian would be absolutely fascinated by muggle film so I am down!

I'd send either Wally, Henri, or both. Not sure yet.

I'd love if the Dark Followers went to destroy the club, because Penny would be forced to go along and it would break her heart. She loves tinkering with muggle equipment.

(Perhaps, she could take the broken camera and fix it for Padril!)

Count Bertie in. He is the son of a muggle & squib so has grew up in the muggle world, attending muggle school and everything.

Awesome I think we got enough interest for club members. Are there any Followers who would be particularly interested in using the opportunity to exert their power?

I'll probably wait until Padril's thread with Oliver is over, since Oliver is the head of the Dark Followers and they're flirting atm- the thread's conclusion will probably end up being important to how this whole plot plays out.

Then I was thinking of the following series of threads (please let me know what you think!)

• Followers trash the room, graffiti threats, etc.

I guess the whole point of it really is just to set tone for school discussions/rumours, and really highlight the tensions between the Dark Followers and Muggleborns.
