What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Ok, so I know like most of PA is in America/Canada/Australia/somewhere else far away, but still.

Anyone been to the Harry Potter studio tour in London? I want to go, I've got tickets (bought gift ones for my boyfriends birthday), we just need to pick a date now. Everyone seems to think it's really good.

So. Anyone been? Planning on going? Heard stuff about it?

I haven't been, but I'm all jealous. I used to live in England. All the really good HP stuff is there, even if the Americans have an insane fan base. I rode the "Hogwarts Express" when I was ten. Pretty sure that made my month.

You used to be in England? Awesome. Yay Brits!

You have the THEME PARK in Orlando. I've been there and it is SO AMAZING and we don't have that here. So you guys are lucky for that.

I've seen lots of random places used for filming. Various cathedrals, castles and such. Also, where I'm originally from (at uni atm), is very near where privat drive was filmed. At least for the first two or three movies, then they built a set because it was cheaper than paying the family to move out and all.

The animal actors that played Crookshanks and scabbers (and I am assuming like fang etc) will be there this summer!

Tehe, go us. Orlando is pretty amazing, I won't deny that.

I've seen a few filming spots as well. I remember when they closed off the area used for Diagon Alley for filming, I lived practically right next to it for a while, that was pretty cool.
HA, I knew the Dursley house looked different in the 7th movie, no-one would believe me when I said that. I also saw one of the "Hogwart's" in York. (Apparently there's three?)

They filmed different parts of the castle in different places I think. Like you know the courtyard with the grass and that silver metal like ball instrument in the middle (if that makes sense) is at Oxford University.

I've seen the Oxford University bit. There's some in Durham Cathedral, up north, they filmed the transfiguratiom classroom (CoS), Fluffy's room (PS) and some courtyard bits there.
