You can't teach and old dog new tricks

"Yes I DO!" Quelyn practically screamed and got back on the broom flying away from Nick, holding back tears. She couldn't let him see her crying it would make her seem weak. She could let him see how it bothered her. Carefully she learned how to turn the broom around and faced nick. Both her hands were clinched on the broom as she stared at the man child who was suppose to have wanted to care for her. She didn't know what to do, or what she could do but sit there on the broom floating in midair starring at him. He was acting like her father and she did not like that.

Quelyn's crying didn't bother Nick. With every emotion that Nick had, he casted the cruciartius curse at Quelyn. He didn't mean to do it, it just happened. It was one of those things that happened without control, like what he did to Cecilia. Things weren't right with his head right now. He needed a counselor, someone like Elijah who knew what they did because they were in a situation.

Nicks spell just barely missed Quelyn knocking her off her broom again. She wasn't strong enough for this yet, she had just barely learned how to fly. Landing on her head the little girl fell unconscious to the rest of the world. Her body was limp and lifeless. and she did not move as she laid there, her hair over her face a gash in her head from a rock that had somehow gotten into the field. There was no way to tell if Quelyn was alive thinks to her being a vampire. One could not even check for a pulse with this little girl.
Everything was dark and Quelyn couldn't hear anything. It was as if she had been shoved underwater. She was floating around in her own little world.

Nick began to cry. He didn't mean to hurt Quelyn, he wasn't even trying to cast that damn spell. It just sort of happened. Quickly Nick sped down to where the bloody lifeless looking Quelyn was. The tears came faster. He slumped her over his shoulder and hopped back on his broom. He flew through the bustling halls of Hogwarts and into the nurse's office. He laid her down on a bed and yelled for the nurse, then he ran.
