In a land far away

She stands in the middle of the owlery. She was in trance. Wings, wings. Her eyes didn't move or wink.
Raven's mind was in a land far away. The sun shine. The air was blue.
People smile and waved at her. Oh, so wonderful. She smiles. Oh, she wants to be there. Not here. Not in the owlery, in the morning.
Flapping wings, crow. They were the only things who break the silent.
And there was a horse in her land, and a cat. And they were here friends. Oh, she wants to make friends. There, but here too.
The letter in her hand was forgotten.

Ciara sighed.

The entire year had gone pretty good so far, but now as her first year reached an end, people started picking on her. Not just those in her year or house, but in other years and houses too. She didn't like it, and it didn't help that her brother - Johan - didn't help her most of the time.

She ran up to the Owlery with a letter, clenched tightly in her hand and tears running down her cheeks. She wiped the tears fiercely from her eyes and continued running, her kitten hot on her tail. She stopped at the entrance and tried to calm herself down before she walked in. Someone else was there, Raven Delora. She was another first year, in the same house as her as well.

Ciara ignored her for the moment, clicking her tongue twice to call her brother's owl down to her. Riser came and landed on her arm lightly. "Take this to mum and dad... please? And don't leave until they give you a treat, okay?" she said in a sad tone. Riser cooed and nuzzled up against her before taking off to deliver her letter to her parents.

Cassie then turned her attention to her housemate, who seemed to be in some sort of trance. She sniffled slightly and walked closer to the girl. "Raven? Are you okay?" she asked her softly, trying not to startle the girl.

Raven didn't notice there was another girl in the room. She wasn't here. She was in a land far away.
She didn't notice the clicking tongue or the words of the girl. Oh, and there was a prince, a wonderful prince.
She stared hypnotized into the room, into nowhere.
Than someone says her name. 'What?' She didn't winking and keeped in trance. 'Yes, yes, I'm okay.'
Wings, wings, wings and a prince. He was blond, and handsome. There were no princes on Hogwarts. No, in her land was it better.
'I think.'
In her land there was always sun, and flowers, rivers, butterflies. But here land was not here. She can’t go away to that land. She was here, on Hogwarts.
She winked. ‘Yes, I’m okay.’ She repeated. She looks to the girl. ‘I know you, but I don’t know your name. How to they call you?’
She was not so shy as usually. Still a little bit in trance, the good side of the trance. Didn’t be afraid.

Ciara pursed her lips and shrugged. "Okay, if you say so..." she looked the girl over and tilted her head to the side. She seemed like she really wasn't there mentally, since she was obviously there physically and Ciara couldn't help but wonder where she was in her own mind.

"I'm Ciara Peakes. A lot of people call me Cassie though, it's short for my middle name Cassandra." she explained softly, before looking at her kitten, who had sat down next to her leg. The first year scooped her kitten up in her arms and River quickly snuggled up against her.

The Ravenclaw saw the letter in Raven's hand and said, "Were you going to send that to someone?"

'Fine to meet you. I'm Raven Delora.' Her eyes don't see to the girl. 'You are in the same house as me, aren't you?' ask she.
'Yes, you are.' Answered she herself. 'I have seen you in the tower.'
She looks to the letter in her hand. 'What...Oh.' She has totally forgotten the letter. It brings her back to the earth. 'It's a letter to my parents. Have you ever felt the feeling that you never want to grow up, to be ever in close area of them?' She looks finally to the girl, shortly. She saw the kitten.
'Awh, what cute.'
