Early Years: Roger was precocious as a child. He was always getting bumps and scrapes for getting into sticky situations. His parents in particular had grown tired of keeping up with the flighty and curious lad. 'Let him learn his mistakes' they said.
There was one time, however, that changed Roger's very vast and limitless view of the world. That one time, Roger had climbed up a tree, trying to catch a bird. Suddenly, a gust came in and he lost his footing, sending him plummeting down onto the hard ground. He broke a leg and crushed the bird, and it took most of the day before his mother found him, crying. His mother, a Healer in training, fixed his broken leg right there, and assured him of the little bird's fate.
From then on, he'd developed a very specific view on the fragility of life, and a less vivacious, more careful personality.
Hogwarts Years: Roger was Sorted into Ravenclaw, a House he had no prior knowledge of. It was ironic--he was probably the first Ravenclaw who didn't know about any of the Houses beforehand, but he exercised a great deal of diligence and ingenuity over the years, earning him the nickname 'Responsible Roy' or 'Righteous Roy'. He graduated with seven N.E.W.T.s--five Outstandings and two Exceeds Expectations.
Adulthood: An Outstanding in his Herbology, Potions and Charms N.E.W.T.s qualified him for an internship at St. Mungo's. Seeking a prolific, stable career path, he accepted the offer and began to study and train. Ten years after graduating and he's become an established Healer.

Roger reacquainted himself with his bathtub, the only thing in his bathroom unused for quite a while. He had been spending a couple of long nights--and a few hours longer in the day--at work, unable to pinpoint his restlessness. For a week now he had been using the shower, washing quickly for ten minutes before jumping out, getting dressed in his standard mediwizard robes, and dashing to St. Mungo's. Roger sighed. Being submerged in warm water felt heavenly, the bath oils making the steam heady and thick.
