Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

There's no escape from a dare - Page 2 Empty Re: There's no escape from a dare

Dylan raised an eyebrow as she spoke and walked ahead of him. He started to walk behind her and rolled his eyes. "What kind of ideas would I get?" he asked, almost taunting her. He seemed to get a little more comfortable now and he didn't sound as timid as he had when he'd first started talking to her.

As she walked, he looked at her figure and noticed that she wasn't acting like any other girl would if they were in her situation. Her situation being that she was walking in front of a fifteen year old boy - who no doubt was hormonal as everyone was at their age. He tilted his head to the side and looked at her from head to toe.

She was attractive, he would give her that. But she seemed too... what was the word...? Awkward for her body. She didn't seem to be comfortable in her own body. She stopped walking and Dylan had barely noticed until he almost bumped into her. He stopped abruptly and nodded. "Yeah, I'm ready." he said in an almost confident voice.

There's no escape from a dare - Page 2 Empty Re: There's no escape from a dare

Niamh let a small smile grace her full lips, glad Dylan couldn't see, as he was behind her still. "Okay, let's go, then," she said, waiting for Dylan to catch up to her side before walking.

She thought long and hard, in those few moments. She had been raised by her mother, for the most part, seeing as to how the marital strife between her parents had caused them to separate- both their marriage and their children. Niamh hadn't seen her brother since they were eight years old. For all she knew, he could be dead, and nobody would have alerted her to the fact.

Having been raised by her mother, she'd been given quite a few lessons in what not to do with boys, and she was sure that 'going into a forbidden forest at night' would be on that 'not to do' list. But Niamh, while still loving her mother, hated her mother as well, for what she'd done to cause the breakup between herself and her husband. It was something Niamh would never forgive her mother for, and that was partially the reason she didn't exactly care that she was doing something... well, forbidden.

There's no escape from a dare - Page 2 Empty Re: There's no escape from a dare

She started walking into the forest and Dylan followed, catching up to her rather quickly. He glanced over at her for a few seconds, seeing that she was in thought about something. He wasn't going to disturb her, because it seemed like whatever she was thinking about was important.

He yawned slightly, and put both his hands on his head. He was a lot calmer than he was before for some reason. It was probably because he wasn't in there alone. He looked around and didn't see many creatures in there at all. "This place isn't as bad as everyone makes it seem." he muttered, just loud enough for Niamh to hear if she wanted to pay attention to him.

A sound and some movement came from a bush a little further ahead of them and something lifted its head and looked straight at them before running away. Dylan immediately recognized what it was. "Oh cool! A unicorn..." he said calmly but rather excitedly. Animals - normal or magical - fascinated Dylan, since he was a little boy. "Niamh, did you see that?" he asked her, a warm, friendly smile on his lips rather than a timid one.

Niamh pursed her lips as she snapped out of her reverie, then noticed Dylan's genuine smile and met it with one of her own. She couldn't help it- smiling made her happy, when it was from the heart.

"Yeah, I saw it," she replied, bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet as she stood there, watching the spot where the creature had disappeared. Glancing over at Dylan again, she stopped bouncing, noticing it was making her taller than him when she went up. Ugh. She cursed, for the millionth time in her life, the fact that she'd inherited her father's height.

"Are we going to sleep?" she asked after a bit, sighing. It was dark and she was tired from all that studying she'd done, but she couldn't fathom how they would be going to sleep in a place like this.

Dylan noticed that Niamh seemed to get happier and smiled back at him and it actually made him happy. Even though he hadn't thought this was going to happen, he was glad it had otherwise he would've been way too scared to even be able to pay attention to the unicorn that had been there only moments ago.

Niamh got taller than him for a few moments when she bounced up and down on the balls of her feet and it made him a tad uncomfortable. He had always found it odd when a girl was taller than a guy. But there was nothing wrong with it of course,he just thought it was a little bit weird. He cleared his throat, "I wish it hadn't left." he pouted slightly, before smiling again.

She asked if they were going to sleep and he shrugged. "You can try if you want, I'm probably not going to." he told her. Dylan didn't like to sleep when he wasn't in a familiar environment.

Niamh nodded at Dylan's statement, laughing softly to herself when he pouted. He was... cute. Or something like it. She wasn't usually one to find boys her age attractive, in any way, shape, or form, but there it was. A small thought planted inside her brain that Dylan Davies was cute.

"I don't know if I'll sleep either," she said, swinging her arms by her sides as she walked slowly. "It might be weird. Plus, how am I supposed to know whether or not you'll try anything?" She smirked, sinking her teeth a little into her lip. She was kidding, of course- she just had a feeling that Dylan would never try anything like that with her.
