Hallie brushed her fingers through the bottom strands of her golden locks. 'I was late for transfiguration again Vivian.' Hallie replied, her lips forming a grim pout and an eyebrow raised in disbelief. 'You'd think the professor would just accept that the grass is green and isn't going to change.' Hallie added, not realizing that she had gotten Vivianna's name incorrect. Then again they weren't exactly friends, surely it would be understandable?
Hallie turned to Viola. 'What did you do to get yourself chucked in here?' She asked, tapping Viola's table leg with her swinging foot, a grin across her face. Looking at the girl reminded her of a time when she was a troublesome, adventurous, daring first year landing herself in detention time after time. It hadn't done her any harm though. She had always performed fair in classes and was well on her way to become an auror.
Hallie wanted more than anything to be an auror, although just lately she'd been having doubts. Sure she was marvelous when it came to practical work: she would brew potions, cast all her spells non-verbally and the Gryffindor was now spending most of the practicals sat talking to the others or 'being a distraction' as her tutors told her. However the volume of theory for her NEWT's was slowly singeing away any free time Hallie had - she was still confused about how the whole fidelous charm worked - granted she could perform it when they went on their trip to Hogsmede to practice. The job of an auror was mostly practical anyway so Hallie didn't really see the need in learning a lot of explanations behind spells.
