One question.
It's one question that needed to be asked, just one. He'd never thought it would be this hard to ask the question. But he wanted to ask it a lot, he had to. He needed to. And he wanted to ask it to Maura, she was the one. He'd asked his question before, but it frightened him to ask it now. It made him think he was only going to lose her, like he had with others before. It really scared him.
But he was willing to take the risk. For her. He wasn't going to lose her, Ryo wasn't going to allow it. He was going to do whatever it took to keep her with him, and it started with this one question. In fact, he'd even practiced in front of a mirror for two hours, that's how nervous he was. It was stupid, but Ryo just wanted everything to be perfect. Of course, with him, something always went wrong. He'd sent Maura a note telling her to meet him at the Three Broomsticks at eight o'clock that night.
Everything was just about ready and it was almost eight. Ryo glanced at the clock on the wall and sighed, and he smoothed his shirt a bit before looking out of the booth he'd gotten for him and Maura at the back of the pub. The waitor looked at him and shook his head, she hadn't gotten there yet. Ryo sighed and sat down in one of the seats, trying to calm himself down.
He hoped it would all work out.
