RegisteringRegister with the first and last name of your character and not a screen name (eg: Harry Potter instead of harrypotterrox43, harry_potter, hpotter or anything similar). If you have already registered with a screen name, you can change it through your profile.
Site RatingPG / PG13 Language 2: Swearing is generally permitted. However, the language cannot be used to severely abuse.
Sexual Content 1: Mild sexual innuendo and references permitted. No explicit representations or references to genitalia or sex acts.
Violence 1: Mild violence is permitted. Explicit descriptions of violence is not allowed.
General RulesBe civil to other members. If you find yourself losing your temper, turn off your computer or go look at some lolcats.
Rule Breaking will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. It can result in anything from a warning to being banned from the site completely.
Backseat Modding & Rules-lawyering is not allowed. If you're that concerned, alert an admin to the situation.
Potter's Army is an all level role playing site. We welcome people of all writing abilities, including those with English as a second language or other difficulties writing. Please let the admins know if you have difficulty in writing before you begin.
We have a word count of 100 words per post.
Avoid severe real life issues (such as abuse, severe addiction or depression, suicidal thoughts, etc.) in your posts. Such issues need to be treated sensitively and might upset other members.
Character Pregnancies require admin approval. We wish to avoid unrealistic situations, such as floods of pregnant characters and excesses of multiple births. After approval, your character will remain pregnant for nine months in character.
You may register a canon character but first check the
canon character list to see who is free. Canons who aren't on the list will not be accepted.
Do not change the default text size or colour of your post in the roleplay areas. We have people with vision problems on the site and it makes it difficult for them to read. You may use bold, italics or underlines to make parts of your text stand out.
Signatures can be no larger than 550 x 400 pixels in size.
Avatars can be no larger than 150 x 200 pixels. Graphics should conform to the site rating. This is your warning that larger graphics will be removed, because they overflow the site edges.
