GENERAL APPEARANCE: Jude is handsome, knows this, and takes great pride in it too. He is well groomed, only allowing his facial hair to grow to a certain ruggedness when the mood strikes him. Otherwise, his face is typically smooth and unmarred by blemishes. He is very careful to moisturize and take care of himself so that his skin looks healthy. He had corrective magic to ensure he had straight teeth. His hair style is always carefully selected and styled - from slicked back to back to bedhead. He is a bit short, but not too noticeably. He considers his worst feature to be his large ears.

PERSONALITY: Jude has only ever had one friend - himself. He considers himself more important than anything else in the world. He has been disappointed by nearly every other human being in his life, stirring a distaste for others and fostering a belief of superiority. Jude found that his teachers liked him as he aimed to be the best in class, and he soon fed off of this recognition. Though her considered himself superior, he still did recognize those who were in a higher position than himself and fed off of their approval. Approval in general pleases him to this day, though he will swear up and down he needs no such thing. He enjoys exercising power over others, even just for the sake of having power. He is hungry for money, titles, and recognition.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Earnest had loved ever since a casual meeting when she came into the apothecary he worked in. She continued to come in and, desperate for her love, he swiped some love potion and began offering drinks. He never put in enough for her mind to be completely overtaken, but enough for her to begin falling for him, enough to give him a chance. He lied through his teeth about everything. He claimed to be a pureblood, the owner of the store, Head Boy of his year, etcetera. In reality, he was a penniless, family-less, and wand-less. A poor squib without connection was steadily wooing a pureblood.
He kept the lies up for four months, and asked her to marry him. Eight months later, Jude was born. By now, Felicity had seen the truth about all of his lies, but he simply upped her dosage of the love potion. It was on Jude's second birthday that Earnest's boss finally had enough evidence to fire Earnest for the theft of the potions. Unable to brew them himself, Felicity realized the deception, broke ties, and returned home with Jude in shame.
A hasty divorce, threats to the right people, and it was as if there had never been a marriage. The only reminders were Jude, who slowly but surely became the apple of his mother's eye, and the persistence of the father to try and connect with his family. He was continually shunted out, and Jude was taught that Earnest was an evil man. The worst instance was on his eleventh birthday, when his father burst onto their private grounds and embraced his son, congratulating him on his acceptance into Hogwarts. Jude was disgusted, as was his family, and it was the last time he ever saw his father.
Hogwarts Years: Jude was immediately sorted into Slytherin. He fit right in, being youthful and handsome. He soon distinguished himself as a bright little boy. His peers liked him - he believed himself to be a pureblood and did nothing to dismay them. He had the manners and superiority complex that was common among the purebloods. He worked hard to retain an elevated position in the eyes of his peers and his teachers.
In his third year, he was informed that his father had passed away, drunk in the streets. It was then that Jude discovered that the man was a halfblood squib, tainting his pureblood genes. He rebounded viciously, coming into his fourth year with a newfound reason to prove himself. He soon felt contempt for his pureblood peers and his need to feel superior increased tenfold. He worked harder in classes, joined the Quidditch team, and became more selective about his friends. He was made prefect, and then Head Boy. Everything Jude wanted, he worked to get - save for a few girls here or there, and he never did improve in Divination and Herbology.
Adulthood: Jude immediately joined the Ministry as an intern. Hard-working, handsome, and likable, he soon moved up comfortably. He moved between departments to get a comfortable feel in each. His salary was good, he stayed connected to his mother's family, he purchased a nice flat for himself, and has been continuously working his way up in the Ministry.
