Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Dangers Around Us Empty Dangers Around Us

Post by Susan Bones Thu Feb 07, 2013 10:15 pm

It was a cool brisk day. Snow was starting to fall once again. Susan had on a thick heavy coat. She was just heading around the corner to a muggle grocery store to get milk. She reached into her pocket and realized she had forgotten her wand; it was too late to go back now she was half way there. She didn’t really think anything would happen in a muggle store. She got her milk and some ice cream for her parents whom love ice cream these days.

Instead of going straight home Susan decided to walk past her auntie’s old flat building. She stood there starring at the window that she remembered looking out of watching the busy street as a child. It brought tears to her eyes. She felt old and so far away from everyone she lost. It was like a burning hole eating her away.

Susan turned around and found a wand pointing straight at her. She screamed dropping her bag of groceries. A flash of bright light then everything went black.

Just a few blocks from Jack's home was a muggle community. Jack liked it because it wasn't far from a few known wizarding streets, but it was far enough that she never worried about running into people she knew. Rather than doing her shopping somewhere where people recognized her as a Quidditch star or as the ex-Head of the magical creatures department in the Ministry, she chose to walk a little farther that necessary to enjoy the anonymity of the muggle world.

Today, however, fate had aligned to ensure she did not get to have a day of normalcy or of peace. She had just begun to enter a corner store when the distant sound of a screaming woman invaded Jack's sensitive ear. She turned, looking around. The muggles around her had heard but had chalked it up to nothing. She cursed her predicament and took off running after the sound.

It didn't take long. Jack saw a sprawled figure on a relatively abandoned piece of concrete just two streets over. She could see no figure, nor any immediate signs. Her gut reaction was that this was a magical crime. She stooped and turned the woman over, immediately discovering the victim to be Susan Bones.

There was no way this had been a muggle. Too big a coincidence.

Jack had no idea what had happened to Susan, so, utilizing all of the strength training from the team, she hoisted Susan up, turned on her heel, and apparated them to St. Mungo's.

Susan felt as if she was watching her life in flashes. She at least knew she wasn’t dead, yet at least. It was confusing to say the least since most of her early memories made little sense to her. She stood there frozen in time starring at images of her family that she couldn’t remember. She seemed to be frozen on one memory; it was of her aunt whom was hiding her under her cloak with her wand drawn. She couldn’t figure out why she was seeing it over and over. Then all of a sudden more memories flashed but that one memory kept flashing back over and over. Almost like it was supposed to mean something; not like she could figure it out since everyone she knew to be alive back then was dead and her parents’ memories were fading.

She was somewhat aware of the feeling of apparition but the feeling was distorted. What had happened? She remembered the wand. She couldn’t remember a face though. What color was the spell? She wasn’t sure; it was so bright she didn’t think to look at the color. She couldn’t feel anything yet to know what was affected. But she had a feeling deep down that it was serious this time, she really was in danger. She was worried about her kids she didn’t see the danger right in front of her. For some odd reason she understood her Auntie now with how she died. She never saw it coming but at least she had fought but Susan hadn’t even had the chance to. It seemed rather odd that the one day she forgets her wand she is attacked. Something seemed suspicious.
