The Wizarding World is in a sorry state. You no longer hear about the plague, but that is only because it is a fact now. Whether it is your brother, sister, children or parents, someone in your family is infected. Yet, we neither know the source nor the cure, and the only people still investigating are the Daily Prophet staff. Since the Diagon Alley fire, we have recieved hundreds of mails complaining about the ministry. Everyone seems to want the ministry to do something, anything.
But when has the ministry ever listened to us? The ministry claims to be the representative of the people, but we don't even vote. Instead, people with money and good connections sit on the Wizengamot, making rules for us to follow. It is a system that muggle Britain rejected centuries ago, yet we in our ignorance and pride have failed to follow suit.
No longer though, things must change. Many of you have called for the sacking of Robert Lupin, but I do not believe that will help. Even if he leaves, another corrupt bureaucrat will replace him. It is the system that needs to change. And once we have a good and efficient ministry, then, perhaps, we will find out the source and cure of this plague. Then we will apprehend the criminals responsible for the fire, and find the whereabouts of Mr.Omara.
