Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Andrei couldn't pretend to understand her situation completely, because he didn't. It wasn't something he ever felt on his own skin. Sure he maybe saw what that kind of pressure did to other pureblood girls he knew but that was about it. In his world, everything - or at least most things and definitely marriage - dependent only on him. His future in his family dependent on him. But Audrey seemed to have it the other way around. Her life's course could change on a single man's decision, his count not. "I suppose girls are not often the ones who are asking in a marriage proposal. But still - I don't see why not. You mustn't think like you parents do, it's do outdated and ancient in my opinion. There are so many things you can do and experience before getting married. Hell in my mind you don't even have to get married. But then again I tend to think quite different than most", he admitted.

"You are right completely. But still. I don't know I might say all these things precisely because I'm not a girl. Because I have it much more different. And still there's a change for my parents to hate who I pick to marry, even if she is a pureblood. Hell there's a big change that I get stuck with the most annoying wife in the world, knowing my luck. Where she won't be very accepting or my idea of arranged marriages as most girls wouldn't be I think. But even still, I would accept. Because of my family I would say yes. I can't pretend that I don't care about my family's future, when I do. And then it's not just about me, so I don't have the right to be selfish I guess. However I say this because I know that I'm not the type to find a girl who I'll love to my dying day. That just doesn't sound like something that would happen to me. But if it did, if I had something worth fighting for, then I definitely wouldn't bend to my family's wishes. Nor would I advise anyone to."

Audrey nodded in understanding, she supposed the differences between men and women in the pure blood society was more than just skin deep. "well, no matter what, the girl that steals you away will certainly have her hands full." She said, laughing. She felt the same about a lot of things as Andrei did, the only difference was that he could afford to think that way. "Oh, You know very well I don't think like my parents do." she said with a sarcastic smirk, but still, she agreed with him. She didn't go along with many of the old traditions, but this one had been so drilled into her that it grudgingly stuck, even during the height of her 'innovative years'. "Oh well. If I don't marry, then I'll just disgrace my family more so! I'll be disowned and I'll travel the world and do what I please. And if I marry, I'll get to keep my family and friends and have a cute little family and all that jazz. Win-win." she said, jokingly. She knew she was joking with a very serious topic, but she didn't pay much attention. Audrey always preferred a light hearted attitude towards almost everything.
