Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Date Night Empty Date Night

Post by Amelia Macmillan Sat Dec 29, 2012 11:53 pm

Amelia couldn’t believe this night was finally happening. She wasn’t sure it was going to happen for a while there but after a lot of pleading and a little help from her mum she was able to get her father to let her go. So she hadn’t made the best choice about Chad but Lance was not Chad. Her father was just so overprotective.

She sat there in Cafe Twin Montez at a table currently alone, she always arrived very early. She was wearing a light blue dress, white fuzzy boats, and an overcoat that was resting on the back of the chair and of course the Macmillan amulet her father had passed onto her this Christmas.

She was so excited to see Lance again. They had such a good time last time. She really liked spending time with him. She honestly enjoyed it the whole entire time.

Lance was running late for his date, finally reaching the door of the cafe. His fluffy winter coat hugged his body as he entered the cafe. He started to open it up his coat, exposing a grey long sleeve shirt that goes with his Black jeans. Wanting to look nice for there date, wanting to impress her.

He found Amelia sitting at a table and he found her stunning in her blue dress. He walked over to her to her table and took a seat. Placing his jacket on the back of the chair as he smiled at her. " I'm sorry if I am late. My mother made me ran some errands for her " He said quickly, hoping she would forgive him for being late.

Amelia smiled brightly when she saw Lance. She didn’t care if he was late, she would always be happy to see him. She knew she should be mad but it’s not a big deal. She’ll just leave out the part about him being late to her parents.

“I don’t mind,” she said brightly taking a sip out of the water the waiter had brought her a while back. She didn’t want to order anything until Lance got here so she was a bit hungry. Her stomach growled slightly. “But I think my stomach does mind,” she said with a joking smile.

Sighing in relief that she wasn't mad. Looking around the Cafe with the comfy and calm atmosphere, it held was nice. Acting calm and collected, even if this was with a girl that he really liked.

He laughed abit at her upset stomach, he knew that he shouldn't at all. But he couldn't resist, it was very adorable indeed. After settling down, he went back to staring at her. " Sorry about that. Order anything you like, since I took so long to get here "

Amelia looked at the menu. She had no idea what she wanted. She looked up and down at it again then looked over at Lance. She had an idea. Either it would be a great idea or not so good one. She wasn’t afraid to take a little risk.

“Lance pick something for me, please?” she asked pouting a bit. She hoped he would do it otherwise they could be here for the whole winter break while she tried to figure out what she wanted to eat. She was still so excited to see Lance that she couldn’t stay focus and could barely stay in her seat.

Lance looked at the Menu, and could simply suggest something. But what if she was testing him, he was quite new to dating and only done it a few times. Sighing, he looked at something that can easily be offered and decided that would be okay for a first date. It wasn't fancy or anything, just be relaxed and calm.

" How about some Hamburgers and some Soda for the both of us? " He said calmly, hoping his choice was okay. Maybe she didn't eat meat, he was being stupid for just saying meat. He needed to stay collected, it only was the first date.

Amelia had to think what hamburgers were for a moment. Mostly the only meat she had was sheep, chicken and turkey. She had only had beef once or twice. She wasn’t sure if she liked beef but may as well order that.

“Sounds good to me, it will be interesting I’ve really only had sheep, chicken and turkey most of my life. My pa didn’t like going all off the Highlands trying to find beef,” she said babbling a bit. It was her favorite hobbies when she’s nervous.

Lance listened to her babbling and smiled at her. Paying attention to her was very important, he was here to give approval and nod at her. Of course now he knew that she was from the highlands and didn't have much beef before or at all. " Well I live in London for most of my life. So I've never had sheep or turkey before, maybe we can have some of that next time " He said nervously to her.

Lance waited for a waiter to come around and he then he came to there table. " What are you ordering, sir " The waiter asked him. Lance handed him his Menu and spoke to him. " Two Hamburgers, and Two Sprite soda's please " He wrote it down and walked to the kitchen to give the order to the chef. Lance turned to Amelia, and decided to talk more. " So how is your family. Hopefully they didn't try to keep you from coming here? "

Date Night Empty Re: Date Night

Post by Amelia Macmillan Fri Jan 04, 2013 3:46 pm

Amelia knew most people that hadn’t grown up in Ireland or Scotland really ate turkey and sheep. Most of them are disgusted by it if they watch as it is being cooked. She doesn’t care if people think it’s weird because it tastes good.

“My family is good. My Pa was a bit of hassle but he always is but I can’t blame. All I have to say about that is that I typically don’t have good choice in guys I go out on dates,” she said. She looked around the café. She felt like someone’s eyes were on her. She couldn’t see anyone that could be watching though. Then came the headache, she took a big sip of her water. Now wasn’t the time for this. It’s always the worst time possible when Astral Projection seems to decide it wants to show that it’s there. She slipped a small pill her mum had given her telling it typically works for her from stopping random Astral Projection bouts. She subtly put it in her mouth and drank another sip of water.

“Besides your mum sending you shopping how is your family?” she asked.

Date Night Empty Re: Date Night

Post by Andrei Dolohov Sun Jan 06, 2013 1:14 am

The reason Andrei enjoyed this cafe so much was quite simple. It had a kind of calming and relaxing atmosphere that was rarely found in places like these and was hard to compete with. And best of all, no one had a clue who he was. This was an advantage that came along with going far away from Hogwarts, which he enjoyed as much as he could. That was still not enough for his taste of course. During winter and summer break and perhaps a few times during the school year. He had to me a lot more careful now, since he had been caught sneaking out more than a few times and it landed him into detention.

As he was sitting by the bar and waiting his drink, Andrei looked around through the room out of boredom. Instantly, a certain blond caught his eye. Even though he could only see the back of her head, it somehow seemed familiar. And then when she overheard her talking, it was clear to him who this blond really was. He chuckled to himself and shook his head. He certainly had a special kind of luck to run into her here of all places. But as long as he was here, he figured he could have a bit of fun.

Andrei walked up to their table and turned to the guy sitting next to him, who he assumed was her date. "Hi, excuse me for interrupting you. But I would like to offer you some anti-gagging potions. Free of charge even. I just have a good feeling you will be needing it soon", he said with a smirk.
