Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"It's fine I don't mind. I get it", said Andrei shrugging his shoulders. He didn't really get the big deal about it, it was just a book. But since following strict instructions seemed to matter to Alice so much, he wasn't going to fuss about it anymore than he already did.

Seeing that his question made her uncomfortable, he decided to drop the topic all together. He learned the hard way that pushing someone into talking about something they are not yet ready to discuss can only lead to disaster. So knowing that he was complete unfit and unprepared to handle a girl's breakdown, he turned his attention back to the book again examining it further. Now that they were passed the defensive spells, they could practice actual dueling spells. It was this area Andrei was most curious to see her progress in.

"You practiced this as well right? Come up and show me", he said quickly getting up on his feet and going back to his dueling position. "Come on, try out your newest and best spell on me. If you knock me down, you can get anything you want from me. And if I knock you down, I get whatever I ask for. Deal? It's just a little beat to keep things fun", he said with a grin.

"Yes, I went through that part as well. Although I'm a bit less confident about it. I'm much better at defensive magic you know. But yeah, let's have a go at it" she said closing the book and getting on her feet. "You have to promise you'll go easy on me, alright?" she said with a half nervous giggle. She really wanted to do well in this area, for more reasons than one. This practice duel was the perfect way to prove herself. Although, for the amount she had practiced this, she would be happy if she just stayed on her feet until the end.

Alice was surprised by his proposal. She had never really took a bet on anything before, but it sure sounded like a fun way to make things more interesting. "Deal!" Alice said with an excited grin. She truly hoped she would win this time, as she was sure Andrei would make her do some not so pretty things as his victory present. After taking a few deep breaths for concentration, she was ready.

She took her spot as before and pointed her wand at Andrei. "Immobulus!" she shouted as her spell went flying into the air towards him.

"Oh come on! When have I ever gone easy on you? And - this time is definitely no exception. I know what you're trying to do! You're trying to win me easily and then make me do Merlin knows what. Probably drown myself in the lake with the squid or something. Tsk, tsk Alice, that's not something prim and proper ladies do. If you want to see me completely embarrassed, you will have to work on it", Andrei said with a teasing grin. He honestly had no idea what she would pick as her prize if she won, but he was pretty sure she wouldn't make him do something completely terrible. Alice wasn't exactly the cold-hearted type, which made him feel at ease about this whole bet thing.

Andrei held his want in front of him as he readily waited for her spell. "Protego!", he said quickly and with a swift movement of his wrist, a protective cover appeared around him. It served it's function well, meaning Alice's spell bounced off it, but it still made him almost fall on his back from the pressure. She was getting a lot better at this it seems. "Expelliarmus!", Andrei said pointing his wand back at Alice, trying to keep it simple yet effective.

"Fine then, I will win it fare ans square" she said with a smirk. He blocked her spell but she managed to move him back a few inches. "Protego! Stupefy!" she said as quickly as she could, keeping a hold on her wand. She created a shield that protected her from Andrei's spell and right away cast a new one. He didn't wast any time to respond either and she found herself having to run from it, as the spell was too fast and too strong for her to even try to defend herself from it. All she could hope was that it wouldn't hit her directly. Running to the side, she ducted down to avoid his spell but in caught the side of her hand.

Grabbing the wound it created tightly with her hand, she could feel it instantly burn up. With a few deep breaths, she tried to forget about the pain and continue their duel. Now she really wanted to win, more than any other time before. She wanted to prove to herself that she could, she didn't care about other people's opinions and approval anymore. "Confundus!" she said once more sending a spell his way. "What shall I pick for you to do when I win?" Alice asked out loud with a grin.

Their spells were running to every side of the room as they continued their duel. Alice might have defended herself from his first spell, but he was determined to succeed with his next. All he had to do was catch her of guard and the duel would be all his. He moved to the side, preparing himself to cast another spell, just as a Confundus spell knocked him over. He was pushed to the ground and his head started spinning. It took him a few minutes to get back up on his feet.

After his head stopped spinning and he was back up again, he grinned at Alice and shook his head. Now it was time to admit his defeat, as she did beat him fair and square. "I guess you win then Alice. As I promised, you can have whatever you wish. I just hope you won't be too cruel to me", Andrei said with a teasing smile. He knew Alice wouldn't have him do anything too dangerous, just perhaps embarrass him in a way. And that was something he had to accept since he did lose after all. "So go on, you can have your pick. What do you wish? Perhaps for me to be your slave for the day. But maybe I shouldn't give you any ideas", he said laughing.

Alice honestly didn't expect to win against Andrei, so it came to her by surprise. But most of all, she wasn't sure if she won fair and square or if Andrei was just letting her win. But either way, she wasn't going to let her own suspicious spoil the sweet taste of victor. "I did win!" she said with a joyous grin. But honestly now that she could choose her prize, she didn't know what to pick. So many ways to tease and make fun of him, how could she ever pick just one.

"You can relax for now. I have too many options to choose from to pick right now. I might just prolong your suffering for a while Alice said with a smirk. She was tired from practicing spells and dueling for the last few hours. In fact, she was more hungry than anything else. "I might just waist my bet for you to bring me some food. I'm just now realizing that skipping breakfast isn't such a good idea.
