Child's play

Andrei was waiting for her response, but instead of words he got golden birds charging at him at full speed. "What the hell?", he shouted out loud as she birds started attacking him. This was insane, he though. What kind of person defends themselves with birds? This girl was completely mad. He tried to get them away from him by waving his hands but he soon learned that was useless. "Petrificus totalis!", said Andrei as he pointed his wand at the large flock and they all fell down to the ground.

He turned his glare back to Amelia. She was really challenging him now. "You play dirty, I see. That's fine, it's my favorite way to play", he said with a smirk and his wand pointed at her. First her brother insults him and now she attacks him too. It's not enough the mother is mad but it seems they all had a death wish. "Confringo!", said Andrei as his spell flew into the air in her direction.

“Protego,” Amelia casted. She watched as the spell hit the shield causing a bright flash. She readjusted her wand and began to think of what spell to use next. She was trying to develop a strategy.

“Expelliarmus,” she casted moving a bit to the right before drawing her wand for another quick spell. “Tarantallegra!” she casted another spell. She wondered how long it will take for someone to hear them fighting. She decided to enjoying while she could.

He watched he move and predicted her next move well, and he managed to move quickly to the side so her spell missed his by the inch. But what he couldn't predict was her next spell that came right after the first one. It hit his body directly and Andrei soon felt he couldn't control his body or especially his feet anymore. They started uncontrolably moving around in a strange beat. He frowned as he knew what spell she had used on him and by experience it took a while for the effects to fade away.

He tried to take control at his wand but it took him awhile. He finally manged to point in at Amelia for a quick second. "Expelliarmus!", he said holding his hand as steady as he could. "Bloody hell" he swore out loud as he feet kept on moving. He just couldn't get rid of that stupid spell. He thought it was quite a silly one, but it seemed to be quite effective. He looked around and realized they didn't have much time, a few students already saw them. A professor was bound to come anytime now.

Amelia was knocked backwards by the spell. She managed to find her wand rather quickly after dropping it. “Deleramentum,” she casted, she had finally found a use for listening to her mother’s bedtime stories. Whoever said you never learn anything form bedtime stories was crazy.

Drew suddenly pulled Amelia back and gestured for them to run. She now understood this duel was done. If she didn’t run she’ll get another detention and then another detention for not going to the other detention is a reasonable fashion. “I think we’re done. Stay away from my brother,” she said before fallowing Drew down the hallway.
