Morrigan had been sitting in a quiet corner of the bar, listening to the hushed conversations of the very few people around her. She actually preferred it this way. It was much easier to over-hear people when the rest of the pub was generally quiet. She would much rather be taking part in a more exciting mission, but Aaron had told them to gather information and not to strike. She was finally being trusted to move out alone in the public, though that didn't keep her from drumming her fingers restlessly on the table out of boredom.
Were you here the other night when James Potter came barreling in, throwing a picture around of some girl?Morrigan froze her fingers, listening hard. She knew the name 'James Potter.'
No, what was that all about then?
Well, Elijah Krum was here as well, and he took the Potter boy up to the bar, trying to calm him down a bit. Potter was visibly upset, and he had come in with another woman, a red-head. I believe she works as the Head of the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures up at the ministry, but the name escapes me. Anyway, I couldn't help but listen in. You know, being the son of Harry Potter and all. Seems he went and had a child of his own...with some woman named Jamie Prophet. Apparently, it was quite a few years ago, and she never told him. He was obviously very upset when he heard the news.
Oh, that poor boy. I can't imagine. After all the publicity with the deaths of his family, and to find out that you have a child you never knew about....
The rest of the conversation was cut off by the sound of the door leading from Diagon Alley opened and the sound of stilletoes against the wooden floor drowned out the voices. Morrigan regarded the newcomer coldly. She had interrupted the conversation she had been listening in on. Her interest in the girl became more piqued as she began to feel that she knew her. She looked oddly familiar.
Morrigan continue to watch the girl, the conversation at the next table now forgotten. Suspicions had arisen in her mind that this was a Greyback. One of Fenrir's bastard children who didn't give their heritage the respect it deserved. She would wait for a bit and see if she couldn't over-hear the child's name or get any more information on her by eavesdropping.
