Jamie's body aced from laughing. Some people were angry drunks, some were sad drunks, but Jamie was a happy drunk. For a girl who could be so sulky during the day, her nights were filled with the mindless joy of laughter. But even Miss Independent had to admit that it was nice to finally have someone that she had both come to the bar with and was now leaving with. The same man all night long.. a miracle.
The door of the bar swung closed behind the pair, muffling the sound of chatter and a bad rendition of Over the Rainbow being sung on the karaoke machine. Jamie's purse had long ago been lost in the shuffle of people in the crowded bar but currently her mind was in no state to process that it was gone at all. Oblivious to the chill of the night, her jacket hung limply from her hands and her scarf had somehow made it's way around Milo's neck.
"Bye!" Jamie called again, waving behind her at the highly responsive door. As she tried walking again her heels proved to be much taller now than they had been at the start of the evening. Her feet ached dully from dancing that she was already having trouble remembering. Jamie threw her arm around Milo's shoulders to steady herself, his height giving their connected bodies an odd shape and forcing her to almost immediately drop it. "You were right -" Jamie mused "- muggles are more fun."
