We Gotta Gift For You

Morrigan shifted under the shadow of the alleyway across from Weasley Wizard Wheezes. She had the personal items of Nemo held in both hands to her chest. The word had already been put out on Nemo's capture, but they wanted to give 'ol Jack a real shock. The personal effects of Nemo had been stolen back and allocated to Morrigan for delivery. She was currently awaiting the arrival of another Death Eater who would be chaperoning her. The Death Eaters were still smart enough not to let Morrigan off on her own. Things had a tendency to go wrong when Morrigan was involved. She just was not a planner. She did what she wanted at the time she wanted to. She had very little thought for how her actions could affect the future.

Chaperoning ... Really?

This was the last thing she'd want to do. But those were her orders and she going to follow them. She was to be accompanying Morrigan in delivering the effects that belonged to Nemo Omara. Most of the others didn't exactly trust Morrigan altogether, and they especially don't trust her to do things on her own. She had quite a reputation for doing things she wasn't supposed to if she were left alone so she'd been told to go with her tonight. Arriving near Weasley's, Alexis hid as much as she could in the shadows as she saw some slight movement coming from the alley across from the shop. She crossed toward the alley and found Morrigan there. She raised an eyebrow and nodded at her slightly. "Have everything?" she asked, glancing at the shop quickly.

Usually, her three main clerks closed up, but they had been so great lately, covering her while she was going nuts, that Jack decided to do them all a favor and send them home early. She had run the numbers from the tills, cleaned up, done inventory, and was finally getting ready to close up.

She paused, looking around, a small sinking sensation filling her core. No, she said, rousing herself. Get over it. C'mon. Get moving.

She grabbed her keys and slipped out the front doors, locking them behind her. She shuffled her keys, trying to find the padlock key as she chained up the storefront.

"Of course I have it," Morrigan responded in a gravely voice. She could hardly believe that they had sent another werewolf to babysit her. Those Death Eaters had absolutely no faith...though, it would be fun to muss up this Jack girl a little bit.

Morrigan stiffened as she saw a shadowy form exit from the storefront, locking up. She grinned, her eyes flashing in anticipation. She moved forward a couple of steps, leaning her body forward like a dog on point. My prey, her mind said.

((Hm...seems I'm going to have to work my back into the Morrigan character. Sorry it's so short.))

"Good." she said simply. Sounds came from the storefront and Alexis looked across the street to find the girl locking up the store. She sank back further into the shadows of the alley and watched her as she locked up. Alexis glanced at Morrigan and she seemed so eager to start.

Her eyes narrowed, and she placed her gaze back onto Jack. They should allow her to lock up completely before they did anything. Just so she wouldn't be able to retreat back into the store, making everything harder for them.

Jack located the key and looped the chains around the doorknobs, before firmly closing the padlock, inserting the key and, thus, locking up her store tight and snug for the night. She reached down, grabbing the zipper of her plain black sweater, zipping herself up to keep the chilly air off of her.

It was then that another chill caught her. The hairs on the back of her neck prickled in alarm. There was a flash, and Jack locked eyes with a being. She knew this type well. Jack was one of the few people able to discern a werewolf as such. After working with them as extensively as she had, she knew.

Jack crossed her arms, one of her hands slipping into her front pocket, where her fingers brushed her wand. With an unconcerned countenance, Jack regarded the shadowy figure. "How can I help you?"

Morrigan grinned as she was called out by the red-head standing outside her store. She didn't mind being detected at all. Made things so much more interesting for her. Morrigan slunk from the shadows, not looking back to see whether or not Alexis had followed.

"We merely had a package to deliver to you," Morrigan said sweetly, smiling darkly and flashing her filed teeth at Jack, "It was of the utmost important that you receive it tonight, so we decided to bring it to you in person."

Morrigan approached Jack, her knees bended slightly so as to be able to dodge quickly if needed, and her eye watching for any movements to unsheathe a wand. She knew of Jack well enough to be cautious. Stopping a little more than an arm-length from Jack, Morrigan tossed her the package. She was curious as to what the items were and what sort of effect they would have on Jack, so Morrigan waited, avidly anticipating any sort of interior anguish she may be able to see.

The women approached and Jack glanced between them. "Evening, ladies," she said casually at their approach. She didn't prefer female werewolves. They were much more catty, all irony aside. Perhaps she would luck out tonight. Naturally, she doubted it, but she could hope.

Jack stood steadily before the gaze of the two women. Her eyes fell with on the leader of the two, it seemed, and she listened. A package was thrown to her and Jack held it in her hands. She turned it over gingerly and looked up at the leader again. "Thank you. Could you tell me who sent you so I might thank them for their excellent delivery service?"

Morrigan chuckled darkly, backing away from Jack to stand even with Alexis.

"Oh, that wasn't in the contract..." Morrigan said, grinning, "What do you think, Alexis? Shall we reveal our confidant?"
