The Great Lake

Darren narrowed his eyes at her, angry she had still not given an answer. "When I ask you a direct question" he said slowly, as if Gin was an idiot, which she was actually. "You give me a direct answer not a riddle!!" He had repeated this line a lot, but she never seemed to get it. "So who is it?"

Ginevra thought that Darren would have learned by now that if he treated her like an idiot, she was either going to get mad or she was never going to answer him. He was like luck this time, as she flared up as soon as he started to talk slowly. "You, you prat!" she spilled, shutting her mouth automatically after the noticed she had given in so easily.

Darren smirked as he saw her get angry, but suddenly frowned as he hard her answer. he looked at her to see if she was lying, but obviously not. A mixture of feelings were taking place in his mind. He was surprised, confused and for some reason quite happy. "oh.." he muttered, not knowing what else to say.

Ginevra wasn't even going to look at his face after what she admitted once more, it just seemed to her like she shouldn't be admittig it. She was a rather closed person when it came down to it. "Happy now?" she asked, speaking through her teeth. She was asking a half-retorical question, as he had gotten her to say it quite easily but then again, she was not wanting to know what he thought about her answer.

Darren continued to frown, still confused. For some reason he was happy she hadnt moved on, but still... "No, im not. You have to give up on me sooner or later Gin, as you well know, im leaving hogwarts this year, and its gonna be difficult for us to contact each other again" he said firmly.

Ginevra frowned slightly when he told her what she already knew. It wasn't like she hadn't tried to get over him, as she had, but it just didn't seem like something that was going to happen. "Don't think i wont try and stay in contact, whether I get over you or not." she replied, just as firmly as he had told her. She wasn't a quitter, if she wanted to contact him, she would. Danger wasn't sky limit for this girl. She was still not happy, expecially that he was leaving, she hated the thought of it.

"That cant happen Gin" Darren replied still frowning. He had already decided what he was going to do. He'd enchant Gin to be extremely sleepy, then hand himself to the death eaters. He would be tortured by Voldemort, but at least Gin would be safe. it was a sacrifice he was willing to give. "Dont try to contact me, i wont be in any state to reply. Plus itll only get me in more trouble" he said.

Ginevra was firing up as he started to tell her what he thought was going to happen, she wasn't that blonde, she was expecting him to do something to her. She'd be watching and waiting for it, so she could stop him: though she was hardly going to let him know that. "Well, it's going too." she told him, her stubborn sense kicking in. Just about getting ready to argue once more, she hated how he added it'd risk his life more. She would never want to do that. "What the heck, you can't leave me between never speaking to you again and talking to you, it's just not a possibility." she had hated being away from him for two months, forever already seemed to be to long and she could see him.

Darren was exasperated, it was obvious he wasnt going to win this argument, he never had. Gin had always been far to stubborn. Still, he was gonna give it a shot at least. "I can and i will" he said. "I dont want to go, but i have to"

Ginevra knew she always was good with aruging, her stubbornness just let her pull it out until the end, even when it annoyed Darren she wouldn't stop until she'd won. "Well, don't think you wont see me." she told him, shrugging as she sat up once more, turning her attention to him instead of the lake now. She had no amused expression on her face anymore.
