The Great Lake

Darren stepped out of the castle and began to walk to the lake. From this distance, he could only make out the silhouettes of people and could tell there wasn't many people there. That was quite unusual, the lake was commonly the most crowded place in Hogwarts. As he came closer, he could see the people who were at the lake and thought about turning back. Andrian, ugh. With a girl Darren had never seen before but was probably his new girlfriend. Man, Darren really hated how Andrian flirted with every girl he could see. Still, one of his best friends Jess was there, so he continued walking to the lake.

Sitting down away from everyone else, Darren wasn't in a really cheerful mood and he'd rather not sit near Andrian.

Jess was sorta glad Andrian'd left. He seemed to make conversation rather awkward he'd notice. Anyhoo, as he looked back to where Andrian'd just left he thought he saw a familiar face. "Oh, HULLO DARREN!" he cried out in the most embarrasing way he could think of. "Come over here," he said, waving to him

Darren remained where he was and tried to pretend he didn't know the guy. Taking out a book from his bag he leaned against a tree and began reading as always.

"DARREN!" He called out, "COME ON! IT'S YOUR BUDDY JESS!" He screamed, knowing what Darren would be thinking

Darren sighed, everyone was probably watching him now. "What do you want?" he asked, without looking at him.

"Just wanted to say hi," Jess said, smiling in a friendly manner
