Sam shook his head, pointing at the nearest display (love potions... great) and shrugging. The less he said the less guilty he would seem, not that Jack would probably give a damn about his listening in on their conversation.

And so with that he approached the pair... Seymore walked away behind Jack's back. Maybe it was something he'd said.

Or, judging by the boy's strange composure as he left, and the boxes he held, he was not to blame after all. "Hey Jack, how much do those decoys cost each?" he asked, pointing at Seymore's retreating figure and cocking his eyebrows.

"Been fun chatting, Jack. Don't forget to get your head checked while I'm gone."

"Sure thing!" she chimed, reaching up to steady a shelf that had been packed far too much of merchandise. Her shop assistant, Gary, walked by and she handed him the Caroling Fanged Frisbee without a word. Her staff was used to her shoving items into their hands without a proper instruction as to what to do with it.

Samuel spoke again and Jack turned, following his gesture. Jack grinned. "Forty sickles each, unless he wants to try getting out the doors anyway."

Getting through the doors with merchandise that had not been purchased meant that the item immediately did its intended purpose- except for the candy. The candy just started shrieking "THIEF." If Selwyn didn't turn back, the nose from the multiple detonators was probably going to give him short term loss of hearing.
