She has a noticeable limp due to splinching herself when she was sixteen. She still has scars from where they had to reattach her leg. Her right shoulder is also scared from an injury at the Battle of Hogwarts. In the summer she’ll get a light tan that sticks around all year unless she wears sunblock a lot.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Most her family, including her grandparents, her uncle Edgar, his wife and their children, were killed by Lord Voldermort during the First Wizarding War. Her father had been home with his daughter and wife then night his family was murdered. He became obsessed with finding a counter-curse to the killing curse which he never found. Her mother tried to teach her to be a normal outgoing bubbly girl but didn’t really succeed. Amelia had more influence on her on this age then her parents did.
Hogwarts Years:She was excited to be put in Hufflepuff after all the stories Amelia and her father had told her about. In her second year her close friend Justin was petrified by the Basilisk. Her third she had the ‘mass murderer’ Sirius Black threatening the school. Her fourth year Hogwarts hosted the Triwizard Tournament which ended the tragic death of her housemate, Cedric Diggory. Her fifth year she joined Dumbledore’s Army. Her sixth year her Aunt Amelia was murdered, Susan herself stopped carrying her DA coin therefore missed the Astronomy Tower Battle and Professor Dumbledore was also murdered that year. Her seventh year was a year of pure terror with Death Eaters controlling Hogwarts and being high on Voldermort. She survived the Battle of Hogwarts with only scarring on her right shoulder.
Adulthood: Susan went back to Hogwarts feeling like she hadn’t learned anything. After graduation she wrote cookbooks for a few years. In 2001 she got married to Ernie after dating since their seventh year. In 2008 she had her first child, Edgar, whom she had been in labour for twenty hours with. In 2009 she had her first daughter, Claire, who she had been in labour for eighteen hours (still very long). In 2010 she had her second daughter, Amelia, whom she had been in labour for ten hours. In 2011 she had her youngest son, Drew, whom she was only in labour for five hours. Life was pretty normal for Susan until 2020 when her mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease which left Susan stunned. That’s when she decided she had to be more than a housewife. She left Ernie in 2025 in a peaceful as possible divorce. She struggled to make her money last until she got the job as the editor of the Daily Prophet. She is trying to fix what she can with Ernie even though living with her parents can make that awkward.

Susan hated keeping secrets from her family but she knew that they wouldn’t let her do this if she did, especially Ernie. She knew that she had been out of Hogwarts for a while but she knew she could get out back into the workforce. Lately, she has been thinking about the future and has realized that she’d life is too short to spend the rest of her days on the Macmillan farm. She knew that it was risky to make such change at her age but she wasn’t going to let that stop her now. The only thing in her way is finding a job. She didn’t even know where to begin.
