Chad was one of the students, who were for once early, he wondered if this was going to be a good subject today, probably not. He hadn't bothered looking at the Syllabus, he liked surprises, and hope din this class today, that's exactly what he'd get.
He walked into the classroom, and immediately sat down, he'd usually hit on the teacher, to get her stirred up, but for DADA, he thought he'd better be on her side. He was wearing his parkour clothing, not that he usually did the action sport, just the clothes were comfy. What were they going to learn about today? He hoped maybe dragons, but highly doubted his wild imagination, letting dragons into Hogwarts, so not on.
He told everyone to pipe down, when he saw her re-entering with a cage and something playfully snorting, please not be a baby, chameleon, he knew it was a muggle animal, but the things scared the bajeebees out of him. She lifted the fabric, which was originally covering the cage, and a baby dragon appeared, he gasped in amazement, and laughed giddily, this was awesome.
"Turn to page 237 in your books. Scamander covers how to increase your odds when fighting a dragon. Look it over and when you're ready come to the front and pick a practice partner from the cage. I'll be coming around with individual instruction when needed. Remember these guys are small and don't even come close to rivaling it's full sized brother but they're the best thing to practice with unless we wanted to tear half the school down." Is all he had to hear her say, and he was off, he opened his book, and skimmed read, probably not his best quality, and he quickly went up to her.
"It stays here, that to increase your chances, we'd need to transform or remove teeth, how would we get so close to do that, and also how would we be some advanced in transfiguration to transform a dragon?" he said, looking at her in awe, this was his new favourite subject.
