Halloween Privvy Discussion

Right, some of you may or may not know that Matt is doing a fine job of organising the site's halloween stuff. It's a good opportunity to put this forum to work. So, Matt, first, how would you like to see the other factions get involved in what you're organising? Does anyone have any ideas on how they'd like to see their respective department get involved, or any ideas in general that you'd be happy to carry out?

Well first off I'd like The Order to sort of work the different booths and attractions. It seems logical to me because that way if we decide to plot anything going wrong then they're on hand rather quickly. Almost like a hidden security.

As far as The Death Eater's are concerned I'm not too picky. As long as they're behaving somewhat they can come. If Aaron wants the Death Eater's to get involved he and I can do some brainstorming and run it by you.

We definitely want to use the whole of Hogsmeade. Dress up the shops and stuff for Halloween and have a big central area around the Three Broomsticks.

So far we haven't gotten much set in stone. I made a topic for The Order but there hasn't been that much response. I know for sure Darren told me the Masquerade ball was his idea and I'm genuinely interested in that. It'd be a good way for Matt to get some information out of one of Khaat's characters who's in the Death Eaters. But that's simple plotting we could do any time.

I think it's pretty common sense if we have a haunted house at the Shrieking Shack. Or I've had Matt create a maze/garden behind the Three Broomsticks which we could "Deck out"

Otherwise I'm still looking for more ideas for IC things as well as OoC things. So that perhaps we can create a better atmosphere for people to get into the Halloween mood. I know we have that snow thing for Christmas which definitely helps me.

I want to give you a hat... an oversized tophat in TARDIS blue with purple spots that light up and twinkle every time you move with a big banner that cannot possibly hold the hat saying "MIGHTY EVENT PLANNER"

What if the haunted house was run by Death Eaters. And it was actually legitimately terrifying. Dementors, boggarts, avada kedavras... y'know. The usual.

People could arrive thinking it is a standard "Boo. Ahh. Hahaha" Haunted house, then have it turn nasty? You know. Doors lock themselves then disappear.

Perhaps the Ministry could be involved as a security presence around the town. They could be some of the white knights that break down the doors and rescue the prisoners?

It'd give the Auror something to do!

And I must say- Amy posted the idea of bad guys in the Haunted House in the Order HQ before me, and I didn't see that until a minute ago! -throws all the credit at her-

Wasn't it around this time last year we did the FNRP?

As far as the Death Eaters are concerned, it will depend on if anyone wishes to attend or not. I know we are kind of inactive currently so really it will not matter.

That's fine Aaron, rest up and take it easy. It's better we get you properly healed on time rather than rushing it. But I am doing some planning with The Order, at least more than I have here, and I'll fill you ALL in after we get some information ready.
