Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Air Empty Air

Post by Sunny Dyllan-Thomas Mon Aug 27, 2012 12:08 am

It had just stopped raining. Teddy took the opportunity to enjoy the fresh, damp air. She picked Sherlock up from her bed and slung her bag over her shoulder, hurrying down from Ravenclaw tower down to the courtyard. The cat purred during the exertion, glad to be getting a change of scene and time with his human.

Teddy settled in the courtyard, finding a wooden bench far removed from sight. It was here she settled, letting Sherlock go so he could investigate the bench while she searched her bag for her History of Magic book. She searched for her favorite ball point pen, finding a quill too tedious, and underlined a few sentences.

Air Empty Re: Air

Post by Talon Marlowe Mon Aug 27, 2012 1:25 am

The rain had definitely helped Talon feel a little better about today. Things hadn't been bad at all for him through the day, yet it wasn't anything special either. The rain happened to be the charming little trinket one would receive for their yearly birthday celebration, you never really thought of it, but it still felt nice to receive it. But now, the rain had ceased and everything was muddy and soaked, leaving the are full of a cleanliness and freshness that a place should receive. It was strange though as to why he liked the rain, whenever it poured down in his hometown, things often felt ludicrously humid and otherwise just muggy, yet here, things seemed to be different. It brought life to a place that was already filled to the brim with vitality.

Talon made his way outside into the somewhat humid air, a light smile etched onto his face. Things seemed to be looking up for him so far, despite the death of his friend. He did well in his classes and he was actually sticking to a routine of getting up early to do some prior studying. He had never taken himself to be a Ravenclaw in the first place, but now he truly felt like he belonged in his house, almost felt proud to be in it too. He continued his way into the outside world and looked around the area, searching for someone he possibly knew. Not surprisingly, not that many students roamed the area, possibly only a few talking to each other and sitting on a bench. It had just rained after all, but that's why Talon had been out as well.

He made his way to a nearby bench and pulled out his wand, pointing it at the seat. "Fervenus Aerus," he said, a stream of hot air flowing out of his wand and hitting the bench in front of him. He didn't want to get his pants wet from the rain, so he always did that whenever he was allowed to use magic. To make sure the bench was properly dry, he smoothed his hand across the surface, a satisfactory smile appearing on his face now. He sat down quickly and pulled out a black leather bound book, one that he had picked up from the library about advanced charms. He really wanted to learn more about these charms on his own now, not just the limited teachings the professors gave. Although, Milo had been a very interesting sub for the time being.
