Times changed, people changed but one thing Ginevra wasn't sure about was if feelings changed. Her conclusion came pretty simple as she entered the shop. Separation could do one of a million things- the two most likely being allowing one to let go or making the heart yearn in a way that almost hurt. Ginevra was feeling far too many emotions and really, she was more nervous of how he felt around her than anything. When she had left, they hadn't been on the best terms. Ginevra had become a werewolf, something that he wouldn't be too fond of. Darren was close-minded, a bigot as some would say, and hated half-breeds. Although the two were best friends, she had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to fully look at her the same ever again. Still, to this day, she wasn't sure of the answer. As much as she could read his feelings and tell when he was lying to her, his mind wasn't something she could get inside of. A rather frustrating fact, in all honesty. Allowing the waves in her hair to drop onto her shoulders, the wind had made her little hairs stick up on the top, a look she had been used to on a regular basis while she was gone. Ginevra had never been a girly girl and when it came to what she looked like, sure she was insecure, but she knew that she wasn't ugly and it didn't matter if one single hair was out of place. Never would she be able to stop rolling her eyes at the girls who made such a big deal about it all. Preying that Darren would actually talk to her, Ginevra was going to go from there. When it came to him, her impeccable organization skills stopped mid-steam. The blonde was great at making a plan and going forward with it in her work life, but with him... that was a whole other story. Every situation ended up being some sort of flight and think later sort of scenario. Sighing, she looked at the broom he was concentrated on, letting his voice travel to her ears. As it had been before, the familiar voice was comforting.
Wishing he would turn around so she could interpret what he was hiding from her, perhaps he had changed over the years she had been gone and there was no longer that subtle hint in his eye that she could pick up on. Then again, he knew better and that could be why he hadn't turned to face her in telling her off. Leaving it where it was for now, she felt her heart ache once more. Hanging her hand limply beside her body, she stared at the broom to her side. It was a wonder how interesting they could all be even though she had just left the shop no longer than five minutes ago. Why couldn't everything just be sunshine and daisies? The girl was sure her heart wouldn't mind that. Holding back a 'well you obviously didn't do a very good job' comment, she had worked on her snappy remarks in situations where they weren't needed. Ginevra had worked on a lot. But hell, don't get anything wrong, she was still far from perfect. "I've had practice disappearing." trying to make him feel a little better with this fact, if anyone would have been able to find her it would have been him but she had disappeared with him a majority of the cases in the past and knew where to avoid because of that. Her reasoning's for leaving had included him having a better life away from her, so what good would it have done to be found? Biting her lip, she definitely had been far from ready for this all. Why did she have to be so damn stubborn? "I.. I was in the muggle world. A place you wouldn't know. I went there as a child, it was Brittney's favorite spot. There's a little fort by the water, it's truly beautiful. A forest nearby where people can hunt. Not really safe considering the children that used to play in the park but no one goes there anymore. To that park, that is. Parents petitioned against the hunters and lost." musing off, she was bad for either one word responses or a million mile long explanations when she got nervous around Darren. Being quite like an open book, Ginevra decided that hiding her emotions wouldn't do any good and she really wanted to make everything good. If it turned out that he was better off without her, then the wall would go up but until then, she was here to talk whatever needed to be out.
Placing her hands behind her neck, she leaned back on them and stretched it out, releasing some of the stress that she could feel building up in her joints. "What.. what have you been up too? Job, girlfriend, self? How are you?" she asked this quietly, her voice slowly escaping her. There was so much she wanted to know and understanding how he was upset, she couldn't stop herself from prying. It was Darren, and never would she be able to stop herself in that area. He was, ultimately, her second biggest weakness.
