September was Serge's favorite month of the year. September meant seeing his friends again. It meant adventures, quidditch and learning new things. Of course, most people probably didn't feel this why. His friends all thought he was crazy. But then, they didn't spend the whole year locked up in the ministry of magic. Serge had no parents to go home to, and was too dangerous to be fostered.
This was Serge's first time on the Hogwarts Express. Usually, he had been taken to Hogwarts by a ministry official, but this time he was to go himself. He had found himself lost inside the large King's Cross Station, and had taken quite a while to find Platform 9 3/4.
So now he was in the train, having gotten on at the very last minute. The compartments his friends were in were full, so he began to search for an empty one. Serge stopped when he noticed a compartment with just one person in it. One was certainly better than being cramped in with four or five people, but the person inside it was a girl. Serge had no problem with girls, he just found it quite hard to talk to the pretty ones. They also never failed to confuse him with their behavior.
Deciding he had no choice, Serge walked inside. "Uhh hi," he said, giving a nervous smile to the girl. He didn't recognize her, but could tell she was about his age. "Sorry to barge in but… most of the other compartments are full."
