Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"That's real nice," he said, looking back down at this glass "always wanted a large family. But haven't met that kind of woman yet." It was true that he wasn't really looking, but he felt like he should've found someone by now. Sure, he had a few girlfriends, but they never really lasted that long, Danny's hotheaded personality always getting the better of him. Never suspected them of cheating, but when Danny went on some dangerous mission that would possibly leave him killed, it never really pleased them. So they let him go, just for their own feelings sake. Understandable really.

He ordered another drink from Tom, the barkeep, and asked for another glass. "Alright kid, just be careful like I said." He poured another glass, Danny trying hard to avoid an insulting remark. Tom was a nice guy, sure, but he never really appreciated the fact that he tried to father him about the alcohol. Or was that just the firewhiskey making him think like that. He wasn't sure, so he downed another sip of the firewhiskey, being careful to not burn anything else in his mouth. "I guess you can say I've lived a rather abnormal life, something that most woman wouldn't find stable," he said suddenly, swishing around his glass again.

Susan sighed softly. “Wait as long as possible to marry and have kids. It isn’t any easy to raise kids or have a long marriage. Even when you think you’ve done everything right, you always are doing something wrong. If you think being single is a battle being married is pure hell,” she said. That was coming right from the heart. She often lectured her kids about getting married later in life. She’d knew tell the truth why she said so to them, it wouldn’t be right to tell the kids that she regretted getting married so young and having kids so young too.

Susan ordered another Firewhisky. She knew this would be last one; she never had more than two mugs of Firewhisky. The rest of the time she socialized with random people. She had never been a big drinker. She drank socially, nothing more.

"You make it sound like it's some kinda of regret," he said plainly, downing another shot from his mug "I'd imagine that it'd be a least worth something in the end." He was never te one for living in the past, but at least his memories stayed with him. They were all he had at this point, and he wasn't determined to lose those anytime soon. He shuffled his hand on the counter for a moment, his eyes starting to feel a little heavy. He had no idea as to what the time way, but he just started to feel a little drowsy. That or the firewhiskey was beginning to kick in and it was making him feel a little more relaxed.

He pushed his drink a little bit ahead of him, not wanting to drink anymore shots at the moment. He rubbed the back of his head once more, practically brushing the back of his hair. "Yet I don't know much about marriage or dating for that matter," he said, keeping his words together "I could be wrong." The woman would show herself to him one day, but right now, he a had a list of other priorities he had to attend to. Thank god he was getting drink in a pub somewhere in England and not actually tackling that list head that. Thank god for whiskey, eh?

“Listen, I was twenty-one when I got married. I was naïve enough that my marriage would last, now I’m forty-five and I’m single again. If I had waited a few more years we might still be married right now,” Susan stated firmly. She knew it was probably going in one ear and out the other. It was getting obvious he had finally realized too much to drink. She shook her head; this kid at least learned his drinking limit today.

“You might want to bunker down for the night. You’re going to have one heck of a hangover tomorrow,” Susan said trying to keep a straight face. She wondered if she was this bad back when she was first starting to drink. Well, she doesn’t remember it so it had to be pretty bad.
