"That's real nice," he said, looking back down at this glass "always wanted a large family. But haven't met that kind of woman yet." It was true that he wasn't really looking, but he felt like he should've found someone by now. Sure, he had a few girlfriends, but they never really lasted that long, Danny's hotheaded personality always getting the better of him. Never suspected them of cheating, but when Danny went on some dangerous mission that would possibly leave him killed, it never really pleased them. So they let him go, just for their own feelings sake. Understandable really.
He ordered another drink from Tom, the barkeep, and asked for another glass. "Alright kid, just be careful like I said." He poured another glass, Danny trying hard to avoid an insulting remark. Tom was a nice guy, sure, but he never really appreciated the fact that he tried to father him about the alcohol. Or was that just the firewhiskey making him think like that. He wasn't sure, so he downed another sip of the firewhiskey, being careful to not burn anything else in his mouth. "I guess you can say I've lived a rather abnormal life, something that most woman wouldn't find stable," he said suddenly, swishing around his glass again.
