Two ideas.

Perhaps we can be posting a Writing Prompt a day for members. I get daily themes and that might be a fun way for characters without plots or development to be thrown into new situations. We can take it a step farther and have admins judge these and showcase them, or something. But even without showcasing, it could be a cool idea.

Another. What if we did a quarantine for the magical world? Groups of people sectioned off- Group A in the Great Hall, Group B in the atrium, Group C in the Leaky, Group D in Mungo's etc. For a week, your character can only post where (excepting any major plot posting) they are quarantined. It would be a mass thread in each area and could break into other threads as people interact.

1. Writing prompt / day wouldn't work, since we are all in different time zones. Eg, I am almost a whole day ahead of the rest of you. You'd have to do it one writing prompt per 3 days, so why not make it per week?

2. I like that one. I don't even think you'd necessarily need to make it "only post here" I've been on boards where they send out PMs to people who've been chosen for a plot and you can PM back saying yes or no.

1. Makes sense. I was just suggesting more than once a week for those who have the time for it.
