Lost

She felt a bit weird riding on the bus, she felt like everyone on there was just staring at her, even though there weren't that many people there. Hitame looked at the bar the woman had told her to hold onto and she nodded, placing her hand on it and gripping it tightly. Hitame shook her head at the woman and sighed. "No, I've never been on here." she admitted softly and looked down.

There was a sudden thought thar occurred to her, and she wondered why she hadn't asked the question before. "Hey, um ... w-what's your name?" she asked a little bit uncertainly. She looked around at everything in the bus and sighed. It wasn't as uncomfortable being in there now, than it was just a few moments ago. Hitame made a small, almost inaudible noise and looked back at the woman.

Sofie nodded as the girl confirmed what Sofie had assumed- it was the girl's first time on the Knight Bus. With that, Sofie said in a soft, cautioning voice, "Well, be alert. The bus is quick and the people are odd. Be aware of your surroundings." She smiled. Sofie naturally had a nurturing nature, having practically raised her sister and taken on part time jobs as a nanny and babysitter.

The girl asked for her name, and Sofie said, "My name is Sofia Elkin." After a pause, she added, "You can call me Sofie, though. Everyone does. I like it, it's more... gentile." She smiled lightly, but did not press the girl for her name. Only waited quietly, glancing out the windows.

At her warning, Hitame felt herself stiffen a bit and she nodded. She already got a bad feeling from being here, but she didn't have any other choice now. She'd gotten on the bus and now she had no other option but to stay in there until it was her turn to be dropped off at Sophia's house. Although she didn't want to be there, with everyone in there staring at her. This would be a lot easier if she had been on the Knight Bus before.

When the woman introduced herself, Hitame looked out the windows. "Sofia." she said softly. She shared the same name as the woman who was always there when she needed her, the woman who had taken her and her sister in when they had no where to go. The woman who was on the side of the Order. She shook her head and looked at Sofie again. "I like that name." she said softly. "I'm Hitame Higurashi." she added

Sofie had her.

It was not time to strike, but a bit of trust had formed. If Sofie continued, Hitame would be her best friend in no time. Sofie had always appealed to girls Hitame's age- she had style, she was not threatening, she was sweet, and she was interesting. No one realized she might be a puppet, a shell, a weakling without her own convictions. They saw her gentle ways and easy disposition, and they wanted to be like that too.

"Nice to properly meet you, Hitame," Sofie responded, smiling and not letting on that the girl's name was known to her at all. "So I assume you go to Hogwarts? How is it? I have never even seen inside it so it is of great interest to me."

Hitame smiled slightly at Sofie. "Hogwarts can be confusing." she said. "Even for some seventh years. After seven years of being at the same school some still get lost there." she told her. "I get lost sometimes ..." she admitted softly. "But I really like it there. It's like my home." she added. Considering she never actually had a home before, Hogwarts was the closest thing to a home she'd ever had. With the exception of her living with Sophia now.

"I don't usually go exploring the school anymore. I learned from when I got there my first year." she told Sofie. "I've been too afraid to go off by myself anymore in there. But I'm usually outside at the grounds anyways." she said. "I like being out by the lake more than anything. Eben though it gets crowded sometimes, I like looking out at the water and talking to the Squid when it decides to come out. Even though that isn't very often." she added, thinking she'd just made herself seem like a freak.
