As much as Al loved adrenaline and a good adventure, he also enjoyed a bit of relaxation and a good book. Luckily, he was getting three out of those four things. He had heard a rumor on the streets that there was a Library in Germany that hosted a secret treasure room. He had know idea if it was real or not but he wanted to check it out anyway. Now, most men would only be interested in this room for the treasure. Well, Al wasn't a very ordinary man, not at all. He wanted to find this room not for the riches or glory, but for the challenge of finding it without getting caught. Unluckily for him not getting caught was going to be the biggest challenge. The guards were EVERYWHERE in this damn library. He groaned as soon as he entered and four security guards past by him. But at the same time he smiled, because he loved a good challenge.
He spent most of the day inside the library simply reading and walking around. He wanted to know as much about this library as humanly possible. As he was walking around he memorized the path that each guard took. It appeared as though every guard took a different path but took it almost every time. He doubted there was a scheduled path for every guard but he wanted to make sure. So around mid day when it was really busy and every guard was on the floor, he snuck into the security office. Looking at the security cameras he charmed them to stay on the screen they were on now on repeat until closing. Simply looking around he realized that he was correct and there was no path at all. But when he was leaving he accidentally knocked down a picture, breaking it. Lucky he did that, there was a piece of cloth inside the frame. He didn't have time to look at it because someone was about to catch him.
For the rest of the day he just laid low. He did however do some more walking around, memorizing the floor plan of the building. He read through four books before the final call for closing was said over the intercom. He grinned as security went to check for anyone still in the rows of books. Al managed to go unnoticed, he hid inside a broom cupboard. Not exactly as sneaky and professional as he had wanted but it got the job done. When he figured the coast was clear he exited the broom cupboard and looked around. It was dark, the only light was that of the sunset through the windows on the roof. And, eventually, the moonlight. He pulled out his wand, slipping it into his sleeve. He grinned cheekily, adjusted his bow tie and muttered "It's show time."
