Shopping is the life for me.. Just not for my family

Today Kayla had put on a dress that had a skirt that kind of looked like a bunch of lace dollies put together. She had also dug out her old two toned boots with dragons embroidered on them. After she was dressed she dug out a few random pieces of jewelry including a winged necklace a ring with three hearts and stud earrings. It was a nice day out and she had planned shopping and a lot of it with her little sisters but they bailed on her for a birthday party with one of their little muggle friends. So here she was in London by herself with nothing to really do.
She was now walking down the street arms loaded down with bags, and her steps sure and steady as she sauntered from store to store on her booted feet. Before long her stomach was growling. “Hmmm I think it’s time for lunch,” She said out loud just before spotting a nice little café. Smiling she headed over and took a seat at one of the tables outside.

This was a bad day to be outside, at least it was to him. Being a Vampire was hard, especially when it meant that you couldn't go outside because the sun was shining bright. Still, being the rebel, as his uncle called him, he was, he decided to go outside today. The Vampire inside him was cursing at the boy because he knew that if he was in the sun too long, he would die. Of course that could be fixed by staying in the shadows, which could be a little tough when the sun was shining everywhere.

But he needed time out of the castle so much. His sister was unbelievably annoying and irritable today, and he really didn't know why. But he knew he had to leave before she took it out on him, like she usually did. Most of the time Ryo just couldn't stand Sayuri, and it was obvious that she couldn't stand him as well, so they always decided to be apart so no misunderstandings happen. He couldn't be in Hogsmeade though, because she had gone there today with her friends. So he just decided to walk around London for a while. It was better than nothing. He'd been there for a few hours, just walking around, when he started to get hungry. Ryo saw a café not too far from where he was and he decided to go there to eat.

“Can I have some sweet tea and uhh… umm... A salad?” Kayla ordered her food and looked around as she waited for it to come out from the kitchen. “How long does it take to make a salad?” she asked herself and got bored of waiting so she started digging threw her shopping bags looking for the new lip gloss she had bought at one of the many stores she had gone to earlier that day. “Oh where is it?” she asked out loud in a frustrated tone. “It was just right here…” her voice trailed off into mumbled cussing as she looked for her lip gloss.

The café seemed to be very full, and it was getting hard to find a seat. Even the tables out in the sun were occupied by people, even though the sun was hitting them almost directly. Ryo looked around for an empty table in the shaded area, but the closest he got was a table with one other person sitting at it, with a whole mess of bags around her. He bit his lip and put his hand on his neck in thought. He sighed and walked up to the table. Just as he reached It, he noticed that he knew this girl. She was a fellow Hufflepuff, in his year too. He just didn't remember her name, he just knew it started with a K. That made things easier for him though, knowing she was a Hufflepuff made him more comfortable and it gave him more confidence in walking up to her. "Hey, mind if I sit here? All the other tables are taken." he asked her.

“Wha?” Kayla asked looking up from her bags. She looked at the boy squinted her eyes. He seemed familiar and about her age. “I go to school with you, I think.” She said with a slight nod and returned to looking threw her bags. She didn’t care if he sat with her she just wanted her lip gloss and now she wanted her sun glasses. The sun was bright today especially after leaving a store and then coming back out into its brightness. The worst part was when she went into the stores and couldn’t see anything and ended up stumbling into something. “Here it is!” she said, “Oh and my new glasses too!” smiling she pulled both out of the bags and slid the glasses on her face. “Oh Hey your that Royo or Ryo or whatever guy from school! We are in the same “class”” she said putting in air quotes with the word class.

Ryo sat down in the seat across from the girl and watched her rummaged through her bags looking for something. "Hm? Oh yeah, we do go to Ho - school together." he corrected himself quickly. He'd almost forgotten that they were in a muggle part of London, which meant that they had to be careful in what they said or did, because they couldn't risk a muggle finding out about magic. He laughed softly at the way she tried to pronounce his name at first. Well, at least someone knew him and didn't ask if he was "that Sayuri girl's" brother. "Ryo." he told her. "My name's Ryo Hiroku. And yeah, we are in the same class." he added softly.

“You have a sister too, right?” Kayla said quietly looking up at Ryo just before her food arrived. “Oh I’m Kayla by the way, Kayla Brians.” She reached out over the table holding her hand out to him to shake his. A proper greeting for a proper meeting is what her grandfather always use to say. “it is very nice to speak to you for the first time.” She tilted her head to the side. [i] His eyes are such a pretty color, and his hair just the perfect shade of blonde like my fathers..[i] She though as she tilted her head to the side and twirled her hair around one finger while using her other hand to shovel her salad into her mouth.

Ryo sighed softly, but he nodded at her.question. And now his sister had been brought into the conversation. "Yes, I do. Her name's Sayuri." he said softly. He smiled slightly as her, hoping not to reveal his fangs and he shook her hand. "My name's Ryo Hiroku." he told her. He really hoped that she didn't ask him a lot about Sayuri. He really didn't like speaking about his sister much, especially because she didn't like him at all anymore. She even told him that she was going to change her name so that no one knew she was related to him, which was a stupid thing for her to do to him. Everyone knew they were related, so a different name wouldn't do much for her. "It's nice to speak to you as well." he told her, coming back to reality.

“Sisters can be annoying sometimes,” Kayla commented with a slight nod. As she looked up at the boy and giggle a little bit. She felt as if she had seen him somewhere before outside of Hogwarts. “My sisters are the reason I’m here alone. They ditched me for their little friend’s birthday party, and of course my brothers wouldn’t come with me. Oh well.” She said with a shrug and looked up at him, “What brings you here. You don’t see many males wondering around down here by themselves. Those you do see are carrying bags for their girlfriends.” She raised an eyebrow at him and pushed the food on her plait around.

"You're telling me." he nodded at Kayla and chuckled a bit. He certainly knew what it was like to have an annoying sister. "Well it's dangerous for a girl to be here alone, especially if you are only sixteen years old." he said softly. "Even though I fight with my sister a lot, I wouldn't allow her to go somewhere alone. It's really dangerous for someone like her." he said, kind of referring to her being a Vampire like he was. The streets were very dangerous for a Vampire, with hunters around who want to kill any Vampires or Werewolves they can find. "Um ... well I just needed to get away from the castle and most people there, and going to Hogsmeade wouldn't work very well, considering there is always someone where I want to go." he explained softly, pulling on the collar of his shirt a bit.
