Moaning and Groaning

“Hm,” Kayla said giggling at the cat, “Does she play with yarn? Oh that doesn’t matter any way. I don’t have any yarn.” Kayla pouted for a minute. Then looked at the snake that hung around the boys neck, “That thing won’t eat me will it?” she asked tilting her head to the side, “I don’t partially like snakes. They kind of creep me out,” she looked up at him with curious eyes. “Why aren’t you afraid of them? Some are poisonous you know.” She continued to pet the cat as she spoke it was kind of automatic as her hand moved back and forth.

"Only sometimes. When she isn't mad." he told her. Athena's tail whipped from side to side happily as she felt Kayla pet her. Jayden looked at Ritual as the girl asked if she would eat her. "Ritual wont do anything. She isn't big enough to eat anything larger than a mouse." he said, half teasing the small snake. Jayden smiled at the snake and brought his hand up to her, already feeling irritated, Ritual bit his finger, her fangs sinking in quickly. Without even wincing Jayden laughed. "Sorry shouldn't have made you mad." his eyes brightened a bit as he smirked at the snake. "I forgot how sensitive you are." he teased her. He turned his attention back to Kayla before Ritual could say anything to him. "Ritual isn't poisonous. Shes just a little brat." Jayden continued to tease the small snake. He hadn't even noticed that Ritual's bite had caused him to bleed a bit.
