Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Hiss Empty Hiss

"Why exactly can't we go outside today?" A particularly fussy kitten asked, staring up at her master who was sitting on the couch in front of the fire with a book in his hands in the Ravenclaw common room. "Because, Athena, the weather is still unpredictable and if we get caught in the rain you'll freak out and run off. I don't want to chase you around for hours." the fifteen year old answered his kitten. He was glad no one else was around right now, that way he could talk to his pets in peace without having to worry about anyone calling him weird because he's talking to animals.

"I like it better in here than out there, Athena. Just leave the subject alone." An annoyed snake hissed at the kitten. "Oh be quiet Ritual. You only like it because you're cold blooded and need warmth that you can't produce yourself." Athena shot back at the small snake. Jayden sighed and closed his book, knowing that he wouldn't be able to finish anytime soon with their quarreling. "Enough. Both of you." he sighed. "I swear you are like an old married couple." he shook his head. Ritual and Athena exchanged a surprised glance and then said simoulantiously, "We are not!" Jayden laughed and looked down at the two of them. "You just proved my point further." he told them.

The boys had stopped off in the kitchen and, well, never come out. They were eating their feelings away, she was sure of it. They had found out they would be retaking their seventh year, seeing as they missed their NEWT’s because of the stupid sickness that was flitting about. Now that she seemed to have gotten a grip on it (home remedies, thank you grandma!) she was not feeling too bad. Sure, one more year, but it just meant an easy year with her best friends in her favorite place- sounded like a sweet deal to her.

She walked towards the common room, brushing the back of her dress downwards and shuffling the books in her left hand to her right. She entered the common room after answering the riddle and heard a boy speaking. She stopped, sorry to interrupt what she immediately assumed was a private conversation (it was quiet after all) but found that he was alone. She looked around, unnerved but smiling and then looked at the boy.

“Sorry… weird kid,” she snuffled a little laugh to show that she was reacting so only out of her own surprise. “Didn’t mean to interrupt.” She walked over to the main couch and sat down, dropping her books and reaching down to lace up one of her boots which had become untied.
