DADA Class 4

Marcus entered his classroom. After being piled to the top with work at the Ministry, he had missed his students. There had been a substitute professor handling his class during the duration of his leave. An investigation was going on with Athena Goyle and that on top of his other work.

His life was hectic.

The bell had rung, signaling the students to move from their previous class. He was glad to have been able to teach again. He enjoyed DADA. Now he just waited for his students to enter....

Jimmy was determined not to be as late as he was last time to this class. The bell rang and Jimmy was off, head down and using every inch of his long legs to enhance his stride.

Upon reaching the classroom door, Jimmy took a moment to collect himself before entering. Looking around, Jimmy was surprised to find he was the only student there so far. "Well, this is new..." he thought to himself. Tipping his hat to Marcus, he mumbled "Hello, Professor", his voice still a little labored from his earlier power walking.

Jimmy then scurried to a seat right in the back corner of the room.

Lily hated being late for class, and she was determined not to be late for DADA if she could help it for it was her favorite class. "Good day Professor, I hope your well!"said Lily softly as she took her normal seat as she heard the bell rung. She knew she was early, very early indeed but it was better to be early then very late in Lily's opinion. Taking out her book and her parchment and quill she set them neatly on her desk incase she needed to take notes. Lily waited for other students to come in, she hoped Subastian would be here but then again they had almost every class together.

Alice was walking to the DADA classroom with only one thought in her head "I'm late"

When she was in front of the classroom, Alice took a deep breath and opened the door. Her surprise face couldn't be hidden, there were only two others students in the classroom.

"I'm early to my DADA class too!..Today is gonna rain for sure" She thought, still surprised by this.

"Hi professor!" Alice told her professor with a smile

Taking a few steps to the classroom and scanning the room with her eyes she noticed a familiar face. In the back corner of the room was Jimmy. Alice decided to walk to were he was sitting.

"You see! I told you I saw you in a class" She told him with a smile when she reached his seat. "Can I sit here with you?" Alice asked with a lack of confidence very clear in her voice, after all, they have only talked once and that was a long time ago.

Jimmy was quietly looking over his notes when Alice approached him. He looked up, slightly startled. "Oh,uh hi Alice! How are you?" he said, a faint smile on his face. "Uh, yeah sure, be my guest" Jimmy answered her, pulling the adjacent chair out for her.

"So, um, haven't seen you in a while, Alice. What have you been up to?" Jimmy asked her, a little relived to see a friendly face, albeit one he had only met the once.

Three potions later and she still didn't feel better. Liesl had decided green was the new black. It was Slytherin pride, right?

She had given up acting as though nothing was wrong. Who would feel sorry for her if she did that? Skulking into the classroom and sitting at the first place she saw (the quicker to leave when the lesson finished) she hunkered down and avoided eye contact with anyone.

"Thanks," Marcus said to Alice. Though he had not been sick, he would let them think that. Another student that had green skin like mostly everyone else sulked into the classroom. Even though Marcus was relentlessly itchy and also green, he wasn't completely depressed. Typical Slytherin emotions Marcus thought.

"Let's just wait until everyone else arrives, people...." Marcus said shruggishly.

"Points go out to your houses. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw." he yawned and put his head down on his desk.

" Thanks! " Alice said smiling to Jimmy when he pull the chair out for her " What a gentleman" she added with a bigger smile. As she was taking her seat Alice answered his question " Not much actually, It´s been a boring week. The only interesting thing that have been happening is that now I´m arriving in time to my classes" She then put her parchment and quill on the desk " what about you?" Alice told him with a small smile

When she finished speaking, she heard the professor giving points to her house " Finally! We deserve those points" Alice said whispering.

Strange though it may seem for someone as mild mannered as Monroe, Defence was actually one of his favourite classes. Although he surely preferred to solve his problems with words, those words could do nothing if not backed up with action, and so Monroe endeavoured to become one of the most accomplished students in the subject.

Upon entering the class, Monroe instinctively glanced at the blackboard to get some guide as to what they would be studying this lesson. Much to his irritation, the blank slate enlightened him in no way at all so Monroe had to content himself with taking his seat and keeping his own counsel for now.

Destrey was smiling broadly as she skipped into Defence. She liked to skip now and again, it made people nervous.

They had started studying duelling spells last lesson, so it was only natural that they should continue by studying duelling itself today. Destrey was looking forward to it.
