Rise muttered to herself and walked down from her room into the common room. It was always so bright and cheery in this room, and at that point, it sickened her. Everyone was rushing out in as little clothes as they could get away with, tanktops under their shirts so that they could unbutton those and be more comfortable, some people weren't even wearing their school robes, their chests open to the world, smooth, and unscarred by horrendous incidents.
Rise had her scarf on, as always, and her robes buttoned up all the way, it was hot, but she wasn't about to go parading her scar around to the world. Rise found herself falling into a chair by the fireplace, which was always lit, even in the warmest of weather, it didn't give off it's normal heat though, and Rise realized it must be enchanted to keep the room at a specific temperature so that it wasn't ever to hot or to cold, but they had light to study by. Sighing heavily, Rise pulled her robes up over her nose and shrunk down in her seat, staring into the flames, watching them dance and play across the logs, logs which never seemed to actually burn. She liked days like today, no one was around to bug her, they were all running around outside, enjoying the weather, and letting people like Rise, have a moment to themselves.
