DADA Class All Years

James Manson walked quickly into the DADA room as he looked at the stuff. He was working around as the Substitute professor since some professors were gone, missing or even sick. He didn't mind to work for Hogwarts and his favorite subject was DADA. Something he really liked and he would totally make it good enough for the Students. He was going to mix different things into the DADA class that he learned himself to help the students better.

He made a long like Dueling room as students could sit on the far ends next to each other as this was going to be a Duel lesson. He was going to do some basics, spells and as the last time a Dueling between the students, to learn how to control the spells. Just some practising because the real dueling would be done later if he stayed teaching it. He was just going to demonstrate them. This was only the Theory for James that he was going to teach, and ofcourse homework later.

He then opened the door from the classroom as he waited the Students to arrive with weird looks on there face if they would see Professor Manson again.

This day would just never end. She had already had most of her classes but they had felt so long. She just wanted everything to end so she could go back to the Gryffindor common room and go back to her bed. She really didn't feel god at all and she had no idea if she would even make it through her next class.

When she realized she had Defense Against the Dark Arts though, Hitame immedately brightened. A smile even crossed her usually emotionless face. DADA was her favorite subject and she always tried her best to give her full attention to the Professor. The thirteen year old girl ran to the DADA classroom and quickly entered the room. She blinked a couple of times when she saw the Professor was the same one she had had for Transfiguration. But she grinned soon enough at him.

"Hello Professor Manson." she said happily. Her attitude was completely different from what it had been in Transfiguration, and she was pretty sure he would notice.

Sam walked into the DADA classroom and stopped in his tracks. "Oh," he said, frowning and looking at his schedule. "Hi sir," he muttered, frowning even more before looking the professor in the face. "I thought you were taking over transfiguration today," he explained, taking his seat and pulling out his books. "Sorry, I was just a little caught off guard," he added with a smile

"Welcome Miss Higurashi. It is nice to see you again for the lesson. Your professor won't be here, he ha been sick for a few days and Professor Wilson hasn't been around either. So I am sorry but you have to stick with me."He said giving a soft smile on his face. "That includes you too Mr. Grigori."He said giving a soft laugh. "I am not that ugly, so don't be afraid."James said. "So don't worry this is going to be a fun lesson, if you like to practice your knowledge about spells, and maybe late or next lesson, you can try to use your spells against me."He said. "But we will discuss or see that later ok."He said as he greeted the other students who slowly started to walk in coughing and sneezing. Geez what a damm sickness aroound here. James thought.

Defence against the Dark Arts was about as close as Cerelia was ever going to get to practising the Dark Arts while at Hogwarts. She couldn’t practically do so for it would be a crime and if she even so much as thought about muttering one of the Unforgivables. Azkaban was hardly her first choice of a holiday destination. She decided just to read up on her favoured subject, having resigned herself to the fact that she’d be learning the Defence of instead of the actual thing that was more help than the aforementioned shoddy excuse for a subject. There was little she could do about it and even if she was foolish enough to whine to her father about her plight, next to nothing would be done - he’d merely send her a batch of books from one of the dingy bookshops in Knockturn Alley; and though they’d be well received, it would do little to placate the frustrated blonde. However, until she could put quill to paper in order to do so, she’d have to sit through the class.

Cerelia entered the classroom not long after Sam had and made sure to close it behind her. The irritation she felt was not evident on her face but her fingers were curled into her palms, the nails digging in ever so slightly. Not saying hello to the Professor, the blonde took the first available seat as far back as possible and dropped herself gracefully into the chair. She placed the bag down beside her, though not before getting out her notebook, her quill, an inkwell and her Dark Arts book that she’d charmed to look as if it was merely the Standard Book of Spells. She double checked it was still doing as she’d charmed it to before placing it on the table and focusing on that, deciding that she would take it upon herself to learn the useful subject - not the frail one that would achieve very little and not save even a third of them when under Death Eater fire.

Juliet Walked into the room and looked around. She had seen noone she liked. And although she knew she was pretty much late, she saw only three other students, two gryfindors and a ravenclaw. She had no problems with ravenclaws....Gryfrindors on the otherhand were well...They didn't get along too well. Juliet looked at the professor and smiled slowly. She wasn't quite sure who he was. And she had missed the class. Her smile slowly faded and she took a seat in the far back left corner. She didn't want to sit near anyone and decided she'd rather be along then with anyone who hated her pretty much for pulling pranks or for her best friend pulling pranks on them. But they're reactions, she noticed, were always the same, they glared at her or Dani and left. But they never spoke a word to Juliet, even if she tried to talk to them. It was almost as if she had...had turned invisible. Her face paled and shrugged. She didn't care anyways.

She looked back up and blinked several times, noticing the room spinning. "Wha--?" She shut her eyes tightly then opened them, Everything was normal again.

Defence was the only class Destrey even came close to liking. What with the dangerous creatures and possibility of being allowed to hex someone other than her brother in the face, it was barely work at all.


Walking in today, she smiled at the change that had overcome the classroom. Duelling, eh? Destrey didn't really agree with formalised duelling. She thought fighting with rules was stupid but she wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to do it with teacher endorsement, rules or not.

The curse of sickness was getting out of the hand in Hogwarts as a few studnets even dare to come into the classroom. "Well it is good to see you all, atleast healthy enough to come to this class."James Manson said softly looking to the students. "As far as I concern you all get 10 points for joining this classroom. So enjoy that free gift."He said. "For the people that don't know me, I am Professor James Manson. Gameskeeper of Hogwarts and also the teacher this day for DADA."He said. "I want to do my best to start with some basics."He said.

"As you can see this has turned into a dueling area mostly, so to begin with, can anyone tell me a Dueling spell that can be used?"He asked looking at the students. "I know that your professor has been talking about it, so it shouldn't be hard for you guys to name a few of those spells."James Manson said softly as he waited for students to answer the question. If they would the chalkboard would list them.

Juliet raised her hand slowly and looked around at the other students. "Priori Incantatem?" She asked slowly, not sure if she was correct or not. She had read plenty of books about certain spells, and she knew this one had been used once or twice before, but she wasn't quite sure if she was correct. most likely she wasn't. She cowered down a bit in her seat and blushed. Her head started to spin, along with the rest of the room and bit her lip. She closed her eyes tightly for a few seconds before opening then to look at the professor.

"Finally my last class!!" Alice say very low while she was opening the door.Today have been a weird and long day and the only thing she wanted to do was go to the common room then to her room and take a nice nap that she thought she deserved.

Just when she opened the door and see the few students and professor in there was when she realice that she did not say her comment really low, and that there was a small chance the professor hear her. "What an amazing day" she thought sarcastically
