Though winter was finally over, Danielle Mulciber found herself still sitting in the Slytherin common room, staring at the flames of the fire in the room that created a dim light. She sat on the couch, rubbing her arm gently, resisting the urge to scratch that arm. She hadn't been feeling all that well during the last few days. Dani had had a cough that worsened with everyday, she had a fever a couple days ago that hasn't let up for the entire night. She hadn't wanted too, but she had been forced to go to the hospital wing. But that was the only thing she had gone there for.
Dani had developed a green, itchy rash going from her left shoulder to her elbow. It kept getting worse, spreading and becoming more itchy. But she still refused to go down to the hospital wing again. She kept saying it was nothing she couldn't handle on her own, and it wasn't so bad anyways. She had thought that it would go away soon, but she was wrong. It was just getting worse, but she didn't care. She was not going to go down to the hospital wing. That was the end of it.
The fifteen year old sighed softly as she stared at the bright fire. She picked up a book in front of her and she flipped through the pages. She couldn't believe that she and Juliet hadn't been able to recover her book. There had to be a clue as to who had her best friend's book, the book that held so many of her secrets and the memories of her deceased father. The only problem was that she didn't know if they would ever find anything to lead them to the kid who has the book. She sighed again and threw the book to the side harshly.
