Atticus was overjoyed by the news of Kiara being pregnant. "This is the most wonderful news I've ever received." he said softly. He'd gotten wonderful news before, of course, but nothing compared to the news othat he was going to be a father. They'd been waiting three years for this, his parents probably a bit longer. But they were most likely expecting the child to have a different mother. No matter, they would have to be overjoyed by the news that they were going to be grandparents. Which he knew they would be, even if they decided not to show it, though they probably will.
Deciding something right then and there, he took Kiara's hand. "We have to tell everyone. My parents included." he told her. This was something that he wouldn't keep to himself. If he hadn't done that with his and Kiara's engagement, then why should he do it with something of equal importance? No, he wasn't going to keep it secret, that he would most certainly scream it out to everyone that came near him. He only wondered about one thing in this situation. His mother's reaction to the pregnancy.
Since Kiara hadn't been on her good side since the beginning, what with her blood status and all, he was worried hugs mother would do something irrational because of her being pregnant. He wouldn't allow Kiara to be hurt by his mother or anyone else, and she knew that quite well. She knew that her son would protect his wife from anyone and anything that tried to harm her in any way. Atticus knew that no matter what she'd have to deal with having a halfblood grandchild. Although, somehow, he thought that she wouldn't care. He thpught that what his mother had been waiting for to accept Kiara, was for a child to be born.
