Matt was munching on a hot dog as he walked down the crowded streets of Diagon Alley. He had grown quite fond of the muggle food and would never pass one up. But this one was from a vendor out in the streets of London and wasn't that good. It was dry and there appeared to be an aftertaste of asphalt. But he ate it anyway, he had spent four dollars for it and he didn't plan on wasting that money. He missed Diagon Alley, it hadn't changed much while he was away. There was plenty of screeching coming from the owls in many of the windows and many of the wizard children running around him. He stopped at the entrance to Knockturn Alley and stared into the darkness that it was. He sighed heavily and continued on-he never wanted to go down there again out of fear what it might trigger in him. He was still fairly unstable and really wasn't sure whether he was as "good" as he let himself believe he was.
Matt finished off his hot dog as he continued down the streets. His stomach growled; "Are you kidding me? I just fed you." he said to himself. He sighed half laughing and started looking for a nice looking place to eat. Most of the places were too dingy for his taste; and his taste was pretty low. He just didn't feel like he should eat anywhere near here. Then he stopped and read a familiar name on a sigh "Sparks". Matt smiled from ear to ear, maybe he'd see Khaat. He wondered what her reaction would be. But the top priority right now was to feed himself. So, with a smile on his face, he entered Sparks.
The bell on the door dinged as he opened the door and looked around. He took a seat at one of the tables near a window and looked out. Not a few moments later a waitress appeared at his table and cleared her throat. "Oh, hello. I would like a cup of coffee and a plate of french fries please." he told her smiling. She smiled back at him and left towards the kitchen. Matt pulled out his wand, flicked it, and a book appeared at his table. Just as he was about to stick his nose in it he noticed a familiar face.
